I would love a faster connection, but it's the cheapest we could get, so.

Just dropped the crappy Comcast and got Astound (10mb/s plan):
    Speakeasy:
Download Speed: 12746 kbps (1593.3 KB/sec transfer rate)
    Upload Speed: 432 kbps

Would never switch back to them!

All systems sold. Will be back after Sandy Bridge!

I'd take your connection over the one you quoted any day of the week. The slighly higher download he's getting won't help much, since the server will be the bottleneck. More upload is always nice when trying to seed

Not to mention you have a great ping for gaming

Here is my crappy connection. 56k my arse. Their algorithm must be wrong cause idk how the hell i can upload at 400k a second, im lucky to get 37k upload.

Not to shabby for dialup. Darn shame there is nothing faster out here.

I'd imagine so - but not 100% sure. I'm in NYC and they just happen to be in/relay through the 111 8th Data Center and their rates were good. I also have a 100meg XO Communications line too but that one relays through the 30 Hudson data center and goes to my apartment. Both of them are over copper. The 200-meg is essentially two bonded 100meg lines and the XO is just one 100meg line. I'd imagine (depending on your location and loop charge) that for $500-$900/month you could acquire any number of ISP's 100-200meg lines.

LOL @ P2P. I don't have any internet traffic over those lines at all. My internet computers are all on retail (similar to FIOS) DOCSIS 3.0 lines. Those fast connections are for work/business only.

2 different results from 2 different servers. Not too shabby I'd say 25mb/1,5mb plan, so almost spot on speeds. Do note I'm running this connection via wifi and the access point is 1 floor below AND on the opposite side of my house.
