As you all (should) know. Here in Sweden we are well ahead of the rest of the world in terms of highspeed broadband. I live in a little city with 14,000 people. Max here is 24mbit/1mbit. I don't want to sound :banana::banana::banana:y, i just stick to the facts. I ran a speedtest and i've got 23,2mbit down, and 1,04mbit up. If your planning on study abroad. Try Lunds University here in southern sweden. All students get 1000mbit/s both up and down for free.. Each!
i know my nick is bad, but my cpu is worse. It's rubbish!
I have 12mb down / 1mb up , Ok for me
WOW !!!!!!!!!!!

Greetings from Overclockers.ru
Technically it's multiple OC3 (and an intranet oc12) connections but bandwidth is divided among residential subnets and given low priority. I usually get around 500-600Kb/s download speed and ping in the single digits on most west-coast CSS servers.
I haven't pushed the upload too far as to keep a low profile, but I know I can easily get 80Kb+
