1,2,3,4.....9850000 miles on my car, and yours?

The biggest number that i saw on a car was 685 000 km (425639 miles). I was a Volvo stationcar. What are the odds that my BMW 118d wil reach this

LOL, I only have about 90k miles on my 1995 GMC Sonoma, but its 15 years old... so its basicly falling apart. The entire HVAC system is screwed. The heat and the AC doesn't work, the vent setting is stuck on defrost... and it needs some body work. Plus there's a little rust underneith. But still its a very sturdy truck. The body is very thick metal, unlike these modern crap trucks they make that dent if you just lean on them. I doubt this truck will ever stop running, which makes it a great work truck for hauling purposes only. I'm buying a GTi soon, and we'll keep it around for hauling soil, lumber, plants, and trips to the dump. Believe it or not, but women love this truck when it looks new. For some reason girls like the 95 sonoma... Oo Go figure. When it was newer I used to get notes on my windshield usually telling me my truck was cute followed by a phone number, haha.
This cosmic dance of bursting decadence and withheld permissions, twists all our arms collectively, but if sweetness can win, and it can, then I'll still be here tomorrow to high-five you yesterday, my friend. Peace.

Plenty of Taxi's here in Melbourne, actually gone all the way around. They are fairly old and banged up (6+ years) so fits the bill.

Theres a second gen Acura Integra thats getting its engine rebuilt with 371660 miles on the ticker. I have seen several old Ford pickups (usually with the 4.9L Inline 6, or the 7.3L Diesel) over 300,000miles and even one that had over 500,000 miles. My friends mom had an '84 Accord that pooped out a couple years ago with 270,000 miles on it. My cousin's '86 Bronco II has over 250,000 miles on it, it leaks everywhere, the body is beat and banged, the interior is falling apart, but it works and the driveline (2.9L V6 / M5OD 5speed) has held together well.

104,000 miles On a 1999 Mazda B2500. It still runs like new, even though I drive it and treat it like crap. I've got a long way to catch up to my friends Celica with 235k miles on it

Well if you get a car that you like, stick with it, people that get a new car every two years are just wasting money.

I have an 01 Montana with 700,000km which is just shy of 500k miles, original engine and trans. A couple more in my fleet are approching 500,000km. I have owned a taxi business for 11 years and have never had an engine failure. Trans failures are very rare now too since I switched to synthetic ATF and added an external filter. If you take good care of the drivetrain, body and interior and are willing to fix the random stuff that dies as the car ages, there is almost no limit to how long you can own a vehicle. The 700k Montana is retired from my fleet and I now use it as my family hauler. Sure I spend a few hundred bucks here and there fixing stuff but it beats the heck out of a $600/month car payment. I plan on driving it till either the engine or trans dies.

There's a BMW X5 3.0i on a X5 forum I view that has over 200,000 miles on the clock. Original transmission and engine.

My F150 has, I think, 260,000 on it. The speedo stopped working at 210K, so I don't know for sure, just a guesstimate. Original 300ci inline six, original diff, original gearbox, and I'm thinking it's third clutch is going in right now. Still has crosshatching in the cylinders!

And a brand new head gasket...and a head job....lol that engine is set for another 10-15 years.

I'll check them out. I picked up a factory tach from an '83 with a 351 and they may be able to help me get it recalibrated for my six cylinder.

Right now the only engine mods I have are a muffler delete and 98% of the emissions crap is disabled. Only thing left is the converter itself, and I have to have that or I'll fail the mirror test.
