    American or Japaneese made PSU

Does anybody know would make a Dc 24v. 40amp or more & 350watts or more PSU Besides Meanwell. I am wanting to use just as a a second psu for my for my Rd-30 pumps. Im planning on under voltaging to 20to21V.
I already cheeked with PC Power & cooling makers & they said they cant custom make it. Strange it says on there wedsite they can.
The pumps each require 10amps for startup & uses 3.2 amps after roughly on 24v. it consumes 77 watts & around 45watts of heat dump I know.

Are you sure you have your numbers right ? 10amps@24volts is 240Watts... for a single pump ?! That is a LOT of power ! At that point, I would start looking for a way to delay-start each pump, so they don't all come on at once. That way you can get by with a MUCH lower power PSU.

I think you misread and misunderstand what PCP&C offers on its website as far as custom work. All PCP&C does at its Cali. location is custom wiring jobs, nothing more.

Since PCP&C really doesn't build/manufacture any of their power supplies, a completely custom one-off unit is beyond anything they could possibly do.....and you'd get just about as far from their OEM suppliers, Seasonic and Win-Tact, although you may get further with Win-Tact, but you wouldn't want to pay for a custom designed and built one-off power supply like you want. It's way out of what either mfgr's build routinely.

Your best bet is Meanwell......just aks them. Since they already build very similar units, it'd be a matter of upgrading the guts for higher output. But, again, you're going to PAY for it as it'll be a one-off unit, hand made and therefore very, very expensive.

    Thanks for replyin back guys.
So just for starting up a single rd-30 pump the power supply should be a minimum of 240watts even though it consumes 77watts soon after on a 24v. So for using 3 rd-30 pumps I better get a 750watt power supply that can handle the 30amps as well for startup. I will surely turn on my pumps power supply first then for a bit before I get the comp.'s psu on.
Peter at Iwaki tells me for the pump they use Sorensen DC power supplies. Would this be one of the finer makes. I've never heard of this company.
Looking at the Meanwells should I get the RSP-1000-24 or the PSP-1000-24 they both look like they have the right specs & for under voltage to 20V. the SE-1000 looks good to but it under volts just to 22 it appears.

Ever heard of Cosel PSU's. I believe their Model # PBA1000F-24 will work well
Says it adjustable volts between 16.50 to 26.40 & has 44amps. and up to 1056watts.

I was gonna say, you need an adjustable DC supply. Bad news is they are expensive.

You only need ONE PSU for all your three pumps.....Go and get a 300 - 400Watts one and you're ready....
