as you can see in my sig, half of these rigs are still in use (more or less) and yep, i've never owned any of the legendary 3dfx voodoos - guess i was too young to afford these back then
i can still remember when i played the first direct3d title and experienced real 3d hardware acceleration. that was the case with the matrox mystique 220 in tomb raider 2 - amazing

Most of the kit was bought second hand and I used to work "on the bench" for an OEM as a system builder so it's not as wallet-crippling as it looks. I remember first getting the Voodoo 4MB, it was awesome. I think that and the original Geforce Annihilator Pro (geforce 256 32MB DDR) had the biggest impact on me at the time. Happy days!

For generally being an AMD/ATI person, I currently have more intel and nvidia hardware Though it wasn't that long ago it was the other way around. Seems to be primarily what I happen to get my fingers on at a good (read: real cheap ) price.
