MSI to offer a 55% launch-day discount on P55 motherboards

MSI to offer a 55% launch-day discount on P55 motherboards

Come launch day, MSI will be knocking a massive 55 per cent off the asking price of its two range-topping boards. Consequently, the P55-GD65, with a suggested retail price of £139.99, will be made available for as little as £63! The top-end P55-GD80, meanwhile, would normally fetch £189 and could be yours during the promotion for just £85.50.

Funny one, I bet they'll be so rare that only very few people can get them. Yet upgrading now, isn't worth it unless you money bother you so much that you feel like spending it on "doesn't really matter" just as long as their spent.

Bloody hell, that's cheap. Let's hope that the deals are available in stores that sell to the rest of EU as well.

I had my eyes on their board and had one pre ordered. Even though I've yet to see an official review I decided to stick with X58 for a few reasons, namely the additionally PCIE2.0 lanes.

Although P55 still has a lot going for it in the end I suppose I chose potential performance over the better tubro and lower power usage (price wise Isn't looking any better ; eg I'd have saved less than a hundred going p55, I'd sooner have triple channel and peace of mind for SLI / CF with 58xx and GT3xx gpus )

This is still an amazing deal for these boards that, that is they don't have any stock issues. I'm glad MSI is taking this launch seriously however. I haven't looked twice at them for a few years now so good on them for upping their game.

:o Was concidering this board GD80 at first due to the awesome layout but was then leaning towards a Gigabyte UD5 from germany for 168 EUR. Does any of the sites ship outside UK?

I'm tempted to buy a couple of these bad boys just to smack em in the classifieds... Not every day you get a 55% discount on launch day
In short, both AMD and NVIDIA discovered that their next-generation graphics cards are superior to each others' last-generation graphics cards.
