Talking If Elpida Hyper and Micron had babies = 12GB overclocking

I was bored so thought I'd pair 6GB Corsair Dominator GT (Elpida Hyper) memory with 6GB OCZ Platinum 1333 Animal series (Micron 2000C9 binned) for some 12GB overclocking fun

Yeah EK Supreme LT was best i7 WB available at the time in Australia

CPU VTT between 1.425v (800mhz) to 1.525v (851-889mhz), haven't fine tuned lower cpu vtt volts yet so could do less I suppose

Nice work, you sure must have been bored/curious. Good to see they play well together at least at those clocks/timings.

Any CAS 8/9 action or CAS 7 at higher vdimm?

Yah because KPT will run better at 2.4v........

Nice work EVA, that must have taken some work to get 2 diff Ic's to play well together.

I've got no strings to hold me down.
To make me fret, or make me frown.
I had strings but now I'm free.
There are no strings on me

yeah will try other clocks today

PCI-E was at between 100-103mhz for all clocks. But now you mention it could of been closing on on bclk limit. I've only tested 32M pi to max 226bclk so far with 3x2GB memory on Asus P6T6 WS Revolution. Will try lower bclk and 12x mem multi.

didn't try but usually if it's hyper pi 8x32m stable it's probably 3d benchable for me.

nah the OCZ memory don't need that much voltage - see my results with them individually here 3x2GB OCZ Platinum 1333Mhz Animals @2232Mhz 9-9-9-24

thanks mate, actually took less than 4-6hrs to pull off the above clocks yesterday - fairly easy to clock mismatched 12GB config so far for hyper pi 8x32m at least.

    More later today

with that many chips your def clockspeed limited id say...
both micron and elpida seem to do well at cas6, so have you tried that?
you might be able to get 800 cas6?
the microns might ask for more vdimm than the elpida can take though

Actually opposite here my particular Dominator GT KIT can take and scale to 1.93v vdimm but my OCZ Animals optimal vdimm is around 1.66-1.74-1.84v hehe
