My first sub zero W3540 tests

It feels good to be benching again...

Thanks to TiTON for helping with the pot and Charles for help and stuff

Also thanks to MSI for some great products that I have had the pleasure to use and they are growing on me a lot

Hours on hours of DICE benching and learning my board... my uncore seems to top out at 4900... I got like 50lbs of Dry Ice for $10 USD and spent 6 hours then slept and did 4.5 hours so great use of $10 eh? I mainly learned the board by trial and error - the chip is good for 4.6-4.7 on decent water...

First - Big thing - I had to use 1.51 CPU-Z instead of 1.52 as the newer version drops multis as I increase bclk - anything over 5 bclk... so to show actual speed I needed either cpu-tweaker or 1.51 CPU-Z

    Setup -
    W3540 3851A257
    MSI X58 Platinum SLI
    MSI N260GTX-OCv3
    7900GS SLI (OEM)
    Silverstone Zeus 1200W PSU
    WD 80GB IDE HDDs
    XP PRO SP2
    K|ngp|n F1EE
Muskin Elpida Hyper ... $70 pair - stripped to OEM style
Lots of Scythe High CFM Fans

First the pics of the setup -

Results - have a lot of tweaking to learn and study LOL

the AM3 is with a bone stock card as the OCv3 has no software voltage adjusting, need some mods asap

I know not overly impressive but its a start

TheGoat Eater nice try, but i consider your cpu dont need high voltage. Try to use under LN2 1.5-1.55V on cpu, maybe your results will be higher and faster.

Forgive for my English because I only learn it

yeah - I am gettign one reading in bios and another in cpu-z ... need to find readpoints as I need to know what it is, and they vary quite a bit... IDK if it over volts a bit too...
