    i7 920 @ 5404.4 mhz

    Hi guys,

after a few dry ice runs i finally started to get the hang of the classified for a bit. bought a 920 D0 for a contest, but due to the high humidity and hot weather in holland i didnt really got the chance to properly do it.

Today the weather was a bit better, and insulation aswell.
Main goal was basicly just seeing how hard it would go,
QPI slow mode, single channel, and just fiddling with all the voltages and pci-e bus.

At the end condensation finally got me, so unfortunately didnt really did alot of benching, but highest i did ( few days ago ) was 5175 32M, and 5250 mhz superpi 1M.

    Specs:

    EVGA classified E760
    Dominator GT 1866 CL7
    Intel i7 920 D0 ( batch 3912B351 )
    Corsair HX1000W
    XP SP2

realise im like 0.4 mhz under the WR, but above 257 mobo started doing weird, mouse was jumping across the screen, it was fairly stable ( 258 ) but the validations always bugged out?

    like this:

    http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=678505

, and when i went to the cpu tab it still said 257 bclock, so really odd els i think i could have gotten that 1 mhz more on the bclock.

But this is the final ( submitted ) result , really happy with it

    http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=678412

thats it for now, hope to play with something with a bit more multipliers next time

the same here.....when I increase bclk with e-leet it is always 1 bclk less....the same happens with set-fsb!
One more problem is that if you set XXX,5 bclk it will change to XXX,0. For example set 205,5, then open the cpu tab(cpu-z or e-leet it's the same) it is 205

    Keep it up

Thanks, wasnt even that. im aware that like all classifieds have, for instance you select 1 mhz, it becomes .4 mhz . but if i select 258 the cpu tab showed the same mhz as if i selected 257 mhz. so was just to buggy above that i guess

    Thanks all for kind words!

Congrats Try next time to save multiple validations (they may vary about 0.5-0.8mhz depends on clock generator) so maybe you'll be able to beat WR

@[200] , the run was done on dry ice

    @ Bobbylite,

    some settings:

    Vcore 1.512 ( bios )
    VTT +350 mV ( so thats 1.55 )
    CPU PLL 1.8
    IOH PLL 1.5
    QPI PLL 1.15
    IOH Vcore 1.25
    IOH/ICH I/O 1.5
    ICH Vcore 1.050

    Single channel,
    Qpi slow mode

    And 122 pci-e

@bartx yeah, but i was so confident i could get 258.4 validated, i really focused on that alot.
but that damn bclock kept jumping around :P , and then after like 4/5 hours i got some condensation troubles. and about multiple tries, from what i can see is that all the classified owners have it somewhat similair, like enter in 1 bclock get -> 0.37. so if i got that aswell, i still would be 2nd, because Hondacity submitted it first.

And thanks all for kind words, perhaps it'll go under LN2 one day, but i think im going to start looking around for a W3540,
and let someone els have fun with this cpu.

I had the same problem aswell, just much earlier. BCLK 242, fine. BCLK 243, mulitplier started jumping, and bclk started jumping.

Sick score there! think we will see more from you.

That's some great frequency, especially for dice!
But what about the Pi32m scores?

try booting at 19x cpu multi and see if that helps
did you try a 22x cpu multi run?
