    GT/s transfer rate nvidia cards

    Hi to all i am new to the Xtreme Systems forum so hi to all,

    I am in a bit of a pickle over the GT/s transfer rate for nvidia cards, I came across this web site http://www.sisoftware.net/index.html...cpu_vs_gpu_mem that showed me the MB/s transfer rate, but what I am trying to find out is how many GT/s from GFX card to the MOBO individual nvidia cards utilize as i am trying to get the most out of my system hope that make sence. if you are able to point me in to the right direction or even how to measure it I would realy appreciate your feedback.

    Thanks

    There are no card-specific figures for PCIe link utilizations. The amount of data going through depends on many variables such as FPS, texture size vs. VRAM capacity, multi-GPU communication, etc.

    PCIe link GT/s -figure = PCIe link freq (GHz).
    ->

    PCIe 1.n x16: 2.5GT/s, and as such the bandwidth is:
    16bit/s × 2.5GHz × (8b/10b) = 4GB/s (unidirectional)

    PCIe 2.0 x16: 5GT/s, and as such the bandwidth is:
    16bit/s × 5GHz × (8b/10b) = 8GB/s (unidirectional)
    You were not supposed to see this.
