What's the difference between these two pumps

Does anyone know if there is any real difference between the Swiftech MCP355 and the Koolance PMP-400?

They both look like DDC 3.2s, but their quoted specs are slightly different between them.

    Is there really no difference?

    thanks

The Koolance PMP-400 is a DDC 3.25 version pump, while the Swiftech is a 3.2 version.

The Koolance 3.25 offers a bit better performance.

Someone made mention that Gabe was switching all the 355s to 3.25s. I wonder if or when that is going to happen.

I just looked over the stats on PPC and it seems they are both very close in flow rates and head pressure. The Koolance still has a slightly higher flow rate compared to the Swiftech.

To answer your question though, A DDC 3.25 is suppose to offer greater flow compared to a DDC 3.2. This won't necessarily net you lower temps though.

I'd go with the swiftech, because I don't think that slight flow increase is gonna be worth the extra $12, IMO.

Yeah, I've seen a listing for a DDC 3.25 PPCs is selling from Danger Den, and asked about it before, but didn't realize the Koolance was also a 3.25?

I dunno confusing all these different versions of the DDC, sorry

Remember these are Laing pumps. So not matter who slaps a label on them, renames them, they are still exactly the same thing. You can look them up on the Laing site.
All stock for now, no need for more, but it's gonna be soon methinks.

Not with those two. There was, if not still is a difference. Koolance had the newest revision, but it Swiftech is, if not already, adopted it.
