Talking [Team.AU] Gigabyte P55-UD6 and Intel i7 870 chip in da house.....

Who wants to see them tortured?

Stock is finally hitting retail shelves in Australia.

yes dual channel but i'm guessing to have more RAM on the system or maybe max it out with smaller capacity RAM to reduce costs

So, even in Australia the P55 is already in retail stores?

What the hell am I signing NDA for, then? I mean ... I can release any article but people can just buy it in the stores already.

I see your point. This whole NDA is going useless now. I'd prefer a full review by now, rather than some leaks all over the forum.

It'll be better for Intel to lift it sooner. P55 is a new form of an old tech., they're even making it age more.

Can you change the Uncore Multiplier in Bios? My i5-750 have only 3.52Ghz NB Speed @ 220Mhz BCLK

Or is the NB Speed from i7 CPUs higher?

What I find more important atm is OCing 24/7 on air / water. Could you use any of these and tell us if it's worth getting these chips for anything other than benching? i7 920 seems more attractive to me atm.

i5-7xx has maximum memory multiplier of 2:10; Uncore multiplier is 15x (1,5x memory)
i7-8xx has maximum memory multiplier of 2:12; Uncore multiplier is 18x (1,5x memory)
