Why did you flash your harddrive with a lower capacity?
Awesome work though! Old-school benching FTW. I've got a 6600vanilla and an x850pro somewhere here, I'm eager to go find them

That reminds me, there was someone that put some ass kicking memory from an ATi 9500 card on an 9800 Pro a few years back.

Gamer, you are reading my minds.

Yes, I plan to replace 2.0ns DDR3 chips on this 6600LE to 1.6ns from X800GTO (working one, huh). I know for sure that 1.6ns chips can do 700MHz easily, tested already.

But before that - card tests on water planned

Cool experimental project, not a massive clock improvement but you got it working which is bad ass. You need to freeze that GPU and see if it likes the new power source

Which clock improvment possible on air? . TEC cooling and DDR3 memory chips replace is next. Then we will see what happen. And if card will be alive then - I'll check if best results would be possible with native power schematics (I've made my mod removable)

how will you remove the DDR3 chips?

I made a thread on the subject of GPU RAM replacement a few months ago

Very impressive! I can remember pushing my 6600GT to 600/1200 with just the Zalman. It's an AGP card so never had anything fast enough to best 4123 in 3DMark05.

Installed waterblock on card tonight. Just hook it up to open cold water in the kitchen

    Some score updates:

Installed XP with 77.77 drivers, scores much better now.
CPU don't want to work >4.2GHz stable, and no DDR2 memory able to do 500+.

GPU is 27°C idle, 34°C load. Artifact free at 630MHz.
    Vgpu = 1.822V load, 1.805 idle, 2.401V memory.

Managed to break 71k in aqua and 10k in 03 .

    Level 1 overclocking complete.

Begin Level 2 (replace BGA memory, TEC cooling).

I suggest TEC-cooling the RAM also
