Intel Makes It Official: September 8th For Lynnfield Launch

The rumors about Intel's new Lynnfield based CPUs have been confirmed. September 08 has been set as date of release for the socket LGA 1156 processors.

The first new Lynnfield based CPUs for the socket LGA 1566 have apparently been confirmed. The release date as well as the technical specifications have been listed in a PCN (Product Change Notification) that has been sent to retailers. According to that the first three models the Core i7-870 and i7-860 as well as the core i5-750, will hit the markets on September 08. The document also lists the exact Product Codes BX80605I5750, BX80605I7860 and BX80605I7870 plus the according S-Spec numbers SLBLC, SLBJJ and SLBJG. Furthermore the new processors are also listed in Intel's International Declaration of Conformity.
The specifications of the first Lynnfield CPUs have been confirmed.

I see, so no longer Sept. 6. Just a coincidence i think, ATI is having some kind of launch on Sept. 10 also. That makes Sept.'s second week very interesting.
