Im thinking... case move... wallet RUN!

So I have had my Cooler Master ATCS 840 for about a month or two and I got it stuffed up with all my liquid cooling swag. There are a few problems, mainly there being a lack of room, or perhaps just a cluttered feeling. If I had a metal shop that might be different.

Yet here I am looking at the system and wanted more ascetics, I want a very clean system, and well I really just like tinkering with this liquid cooling. Now I have a up and running rig now which means I can take my time and really get into the research of what I can do.

    1) I can either find a case that has 8 or more expansion slots and put my other GTX 295 on the bottom PCIE x 16 slots (which I think would make the sli run at 16x by 8x instead of the current 16x by 16x, but I am not 100% sure).

    2) I could take out my two GTX 295s, and either get the new single card 295s and they would be more visual pleasing with the nice gap between them, or get two new 285s same idea. Then I could use my old 295s in say a motherboard that has a slightly better layout, possibly a EVGA Classified, Asus P6T6 WS[which my friend is having issues with], and Asus P6T7 WS Supercomputer [which I also hear people are having issues]

    3) I could stick with the cards and the motherboard that I have right now, because well they work get good temps and ascetically they aren't bad to look at.

Either of the options, and for cost I will probably stick with option 3, but the fact of that mater remains I am looking into a new case. Anyone have any options for a duel loop case that uses no bay reservoirs (I don't like mine), fits a triple and duel radiator and is all internal. >.> I keep wandering my search engine to Lian Li, but would love to hear other ideas.

I would also like either a top mounted power supply or having the power supply separate from the motherboard area.

If you want plenty of room, go mountain mods.

If you want traditional case, take a look at a TJ07
Project Millertime: The Core I5 build

Crunching/folding box on air: AMD Athlon X2 7750 Black Edition; Sapphire Radeon HD 4830; Gigabyte MA78GM-US2H; Lian Li PC-V351; Windows 7 RC

Currently have a HAF 932 which I really like, but sadly 'out-grown' it, MM is the ONLY way to go!

UF2O is my vote, extended at that. I don't think I could ever go back to a traditional case.

For that price you can get the Mountain Mods Pinnacle series case and have more room:

    http://www.mountainmods.com/pinnacle-24-cyo-p-498.html

It will take a 4 x 120mm rad at the top.

    Or this one:

    http://www.mountainmods.com/pinnacle-18-cyo-p-499.html

It will take a 3 x 120mm rad at the top.

But as I stated before, if you go with a UF2O, you will not look back. Just my opinion.

I'm personally note a fan of the huge UFO type cases. Of course this is only my opinion. To me they lose their challenge and aesthetics to looking good. Also I like the MountainMods for their room and mods, but I wish they had more curves. There's just something about a hint of curvature or angles to a case that makes it look sexy. Their cases almost have too much room lol.

IMO it's actually far more work to do a tidy build in a MM case. They photograph well, but actually filling them up with everything that you *could* put inside doesn't end up being practical in many cases imo...

The Corsair case can accept (with a little bit of drilling) 2 140mm single rads (gpus and chipset or w/e else) and 1 thick triple (CPU loop). That's enough for any reasonable cooling system.

Don't disagree with the looks, they are as plain Jane as they come. I have always wanted a UF2O that had an angled top down towards a shorter front for some personality, but for water cooling, they are easy as pie since you do not need to worry about modding them. The problem I have with a lot of cases that say they can do water cooling is you still end up modding them and if you do not have the skills or the time for it, it can be real frustrating.

Well said, Linus. IMO, people who believe it's easy to do a tidy job in the MM cube probably haven't tried it yet

EDIT - just saw UTNorris' post. I absolutely agree it's easier to set up water cooling in the MM cube - I love the room and ease of working with the horizontal motherboard tray. Just very difficult to get all the wires organized with a loaded system.

The Corsair case looks interesting - hope they come out with a Jr. version that would work for water cooling something like a M-ATX system.

Yeah, but the Pinnacle can do the same with out having to mod it and is the same price with similiar looks. I like the features of the Corsair, but the OP seemed to not want to mod very much or maybe I got that wrong.

By the way, for the money a Lian Li Rocketfish case is nice if you can find one (usually on the forums "For Sale" sections for $100) and are not hard to mod for a triple rad. It should do what you want without destroying the wallet. Just a thought.

It can be a bit of a challenge to hide wires in the MM cases.
Traditional cases at least have a space to hide some wires behind the Motherboard tray but MM generally do not.
However they will swallow a crap load of gear and not even look that full. I do wish they had a little more shape to them but for now I think they are one of the best cases for watercooling IMO.

Build a new wood case to the perfect dimensions of what you need? That's my unlikely suggestion

That's actually a good suggestion, make it out of whatever you want, acyrlic, aluminum or sheet metal.

Tons of great ideas, I will have to filter through them and see what I have to work with. I am thinking about side mounted radiators like in TJ07s or vertical Mounted Radiators like in Para Flow builds, and I want to take some inline reservoirs and have their top fill ports be mounted into the top of the case and the drain ports me mounted at the bottom front of back so I don't have to deal with what I have now with having to take out my fan speed controller and DVD-burner everytime I have to service my set up.

Oh also something I am not sure of, on the MM website is has radiator fan spacing options I am using the new Koolance Copper Radiators and I am not sure what their fan spacing is, seeing as there wasn't an option for it in the lists.

I don't have a shop where I could make my own case.

You want fan spacing that is not Thermochill spacing, i.e. Swiftech, Feser. Those are the standard fan spacing for current rads.

Yes, the extended ATX should have 10 slots.

Yep, that's a fantastic deal for that case. You would need to do some modding to it, but I believe you could put two triple rads in the bottom.

I like Lian li for 1 or 2 radiators, but mountain mods is in a different league.
