    Asus Mars is here!

Accessories can be better, but OK. Surprise is weight, card is not too heavy ive expected. Classic dual PCB GTX 295 is heavier. I have to install Win7 and new setup, performance, OC and nise testing later ...
My piece has number 0058! Who next?

Jesus If he has the money to buy one of these, you think he cant afford a super duper dx11 when they launch?

Only 2 8 pin? Would have thought it would need more power than that.

I don't think he bought it. Given his track record of "reviewing" ASUS and nvidia products and then screaming up and down how good they are and trashing everything else I'm sure they gave him one to get him posting.

For the price u would like to think its metal. Disappointing that after all that cash its got a average bundle included. Yep, results please ?

They could do with hurrying out the cards cause despite everyone listing them no one has in stock. The 5870x2 before they get this thing out properly. Im sure they will find 1000 rich collectors regardless though. Asus will make a killing.

I'm wondering...What is the thickness of the Card? Can you fit another card e.g. an audio card, or TV card directly under, or does the card interfere with the third slot below.

ONly reason I ask is because the ASUS 4870X2 with Tri-fan design, interferes with the third card... I had to remove the Air cooler it was just too big.

Nice buy ORb...with 4 x 285s there's no stopping that for a while. DX11 is still in development mode, and with OpenGl 3 trying to make a comeback, this set-up (2 x 295s in SLI) is still the benchmark to beat. Plus, the new DX11 cards are going to be pricy...especially DUAL core cards.

you try replacing those fans with scythe slim 100mm fans they fit 92mm mounts and are only 12mm thick.
They even have 120s of them now.

Why all the negativity? That waste of space Vests your cards in most every situation. DX 10.1 is an ATi thing, that doesn't necessarily make it better than DX 10. A lot of games are still DX 9c, not DX10.

    CHeck it out: http://www.overclockersclub.com/revi...ssfire_vs_sli/

BTw Demonkevy - It was the housing on the Asus card that was or does block the third slot. Where the 92mms set Asus has a ring around each fan that sticks out (or up depending on the view) about 4mm. I got rid of it bc the asus cards wont fit certain Danger Den blocks, got a used HIS for 300usd and slapped my DD block on it.

Of course, i did not bougth it ... i am crazy, but not too much.
Maybe is only my sample wrong, but card is regulary and permanently overheating! Temps in Idle are 70C and after 10 minut gaming reach 104C on both GPUs, and card starts to cool itself by slowering clocks. Fan is working on 100 percent, but GPUs are still on 104C ... and games are unplayable ... because overheating. There is very bad twitching in every game, when GPUs are too hot ... because this, it is not possible to OC card even 10-20 MHz ...!
