    I've found a 4850 for 120, but should I get a gtx260 instead for 200? (cad)

You can get HD 4850's on Newegg for $89. Mine overclocks to near 4870 speeds, 700/2300. IMO, if you're going to spend more, grab the 4890.

By all means, if you're going to spend more on a single card, pick up an Ati 4890. They overclock like crazy, and when OC'ed will run on par with a GTX 285 ($300+ card) in most games. Far better value than a GTX260, even the Core 216. I've got a 4890 and wouldn't trade it for the world.
