Difference between 9800GT 65nm and 55nm

How can you tell the difference between the 65nm and 55nm versions of this card?

Probably through the chip id you see when running GPU-Z.

u cant do that, they have the same ID

u have to remove the heat sink and compare the size of the die

Only real way to tell is to remove the heatsink and take a look at the core.

65nm is A2.
55nm is B1.

they will all say that there is no difference in any code on the card, u have to remove the heatsink and look at the gpu

the 55nm is 5-10W less power consumption

I RMAd my 8800GT the other day and just got this 9800GT yesterday. I might just take the heatsink off.
