    Yep:

Entry level: 100 ~ $160 (don't expect to see anything below $130 at launch except perhaps some microATX offering)
    Mid-end: 160 ~ $220
Highend: 220 ~ $300(+) (ASUS and EVGA will prolly have some expensive offering if not at launch at least later that could very well go above $300)

That stock cooler is weakness of epic proportions!

Oh well, just as good. Including one with the 870 SKU is a mere formality: I don't think many people splashing for a premium CPU like that would use one... Or would they? Back in november when X58 launched availability of CPU coolers with s1366 mounting was abysmal for a couple of months.

Let's hope history doesn't repeat itself on this one and the heatsink manufacturers aren't caught with their pants down again.

Yeah, they're uhmm.... tiny. Kinda gives an impression that Intel's processor are cooler and doesn't need those bulky heatsinks.

Anyway, you're right about the premium cpus - aftermarket heatsinks. Some manufactures were considerate enough to have both
S775 and S1366 mounting holes on their board; Asus, Foxconn. It saved some users from waiting for their cooler's backplate, way back when x58 came out.
But sad to say, all the P55 board pics I've seen right now have single(4) mounting hole only.

Intel needs to go and whack the guy who invented that HSF in the head.

They sell a no-HT 45nm Quad for $196 and they STILL use that flippin' hunk of aluminum

Ofcourse, that doesn't take anything away from the proccy though, which should be amazingly good
