ATi Tool = *very* dark lappie screen

so I installed ATi Tool (one that has signed drivers) - every time I run it, it dims the screen soooo dark - I cant even brighten it again, closing to prog doesnt help either, a restart is needed

    specs in sig, any ideas?

    Two things are possible here:

    1. You start ATI-Tool and before you run the diagnostic, it loads its own screen brightness preset.
    2. You start ATI-Tool and after you start running the diagnostic, your lappy software (propietary battery life etc software) automatically sets your screen brightness to "Save Battery" mode due to heat or electricity use.
