Biostar TA785GE 128M modded Bios X2@X4 ready for downloading

Fresh from NDA today we have the modded bios for the first Biostar 785G board.

    grab this file here
    http://www.4shared.com/file/12280804...128M_0720.html

    Please ready before flashing
Set your system back to stock prior to flashing and after updating bios to the new one you just need to follow this steps
    HT link @ 1.6GHz
    ACC @ all cores
    Value(all cores) @ -2%

    and of course its work

but haven't tested it much as Nehalem was keeping me occupied ,so today I decided to give cold to hit the MAGIC6 barrier with a X2 @ quad and using a pocket board

you would like to try it at your own risk

    Well of course .
Again thanks for posting the results, made my day

PS The LN2 X2@X4 result is simply stunning . The bad thing is the Ln2 is more expensive than the board + CPU ,but extreme benchers don't mind the cost I guess

    PcCI2iminal, very good oc....

one small question about GX 128mb.. I have your latest bios and tried ACC without luck. Can you tell me settings so I can try all before I call the cpu as dud ? I thought that I maybe missed something in Bios.

PcCI2iminal, I am very impressed with your hwbot world record with the x2 550/biostar ta785GE 128M!
this would be my 1st amd rig since 939 dfi lanparty/bh5 days. I am looking for a cheap setup just to get my feet wet and I have no ddr2 left. I gave it all away so this would have to be AM3 for sure.
Whenever I buy boards the 1st thing I do is go to hwbot and check all the wr's in the same platform i'm looking to buy. All the x4 955be are either in MA790FXT-ud5p / crosshair III / M4A79T Deluxe / or dfi m3h5
Your x2 result is what interests me since they can be unlocked. What I always do with a new board/cpu is 1st I'll get it home and stick a stock fan on it and load a fast win install and then take the stock cooler off and start making cpu templates by placing a piece of thin paper over the socket area and rubbing lightly over it with a pencil so I can cut a template for the socket insulation. you know the drill..........

Then bench it under dice or ln2 and then if its worth keeping I'll use it as my gaming rig until the next wave comes along. This is how the game goes and you all know it.

anyway I can get a open box (rma) TForce TA790GX A3+ AM3 AMD 790GX from newegg for 78.00
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...2E16813138141R

    and a x2 550 for $102 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103680

    $180.00 total.

should I go for it and see if I can beat your hwbot wr? or should I wait for a 965 to hit retail channels in US? I really need 4 cores going for my editing. I'll tell you what I'm currently running since I sold all my good hdware was still worth something. Here's my aging hardware:

    -rampage extreme x48
    -c2d wolfdale e8200 @3.6ghz
    -8gb assorted ddr3
    -win7 64
    -2 x 4850 crossfire
    -tx750 psu
    a gtx480 rad on the cpu with a D-Tek FuZion V2

I think I really cant go wrong with a new rig for 180 bux. My last question is does the TA790GX A3+ clock as well as your ta785GE 128M under subzero temps? I need ddr3.

thanks man and keep breaking records!

this would be my 1st amd rig since 939 dfi lanparty/bh5 days.

    $180.00 total.

thanks m8 ,your goal is not that hard to get ,you have the skills and you just need to buy a good X2 550
well ,i think all these X2 550 BE does 5.8GHz+ on LN2 ,because Ive tried several chips and me got 6GHz in all of them ,but to find a good for unlocking is not so easy, just 50% of all Mojo's AMD 550 can be unlocked.

but in the other hand, these chips are very cheap and you can start to looking for a good chip for unlocking or just ebay the fully locked chips.

I think I really cant go wrong with a new rig for 180 bux. My last question is does the TA790GX A3+ clock as well as your ta785GE 128M under subzero temps? I need ddr3.
TA785GE 128M can reach insane clocks like TA790GX A3+ ,but is hard to handle in extreme conditions.
so ,if you want a easy way to get 6GHz+ and the WR on HWbot go TA790GX A3+

    but,if you want a good challenge...TA785GE 128M is a way to go
