    Thumbs up 2500k batch number results? new build

    picked this up at micrcoenter today $190 out the door ---2500k batch # L041b716


    googled and found 2 decent results.....did i get a one recongnized as good...anyone here?

    water direction in my loop-

    pump out to rad#1 then out to cpu in then cpu out to card inlet then card outlet to res to pump inlet then pump out to rad#2..............thoughts.

    thoughts?on batch number on the 2500k plz...

    Why are you covering the serial number?
    The answer to your question lies in the last 2 digits there.
    I'd say 1-20 or 80-00 your chances are pretty good.

    I picked up this 2500k from microcenter a month ago for a buddy of mine since he was getting one for the first time.
    The lowest or highest I could get was 08.
    It will boot at least 50 with PLL off and did not try for max multi (didn't really try much with this chip, he wanted a daily overclock chip).
    It could do linX 20 pass 4.8ghz 1.31v but linX is a bunch of crock for stability - you would still get random ilde error code 124's.
    However haven't seen an error code 124 after testing for stability with Prime95 (an hour at least) at 1.34v set in bios

    Bottom line is that it is weird how it used to be all about the batch but nowadays seems more like the serial number which I think relates to the location of the chip on the master wafer
