Took a side by side screenshot of my 12x mem multi DDR3-2184Mhz 7-8-7-20 1T 32M run versus my 10x mem multi higher cpu clocked DDR3-2118Mhz 7-8-7-20 1T 32M run to see what cputweaker reported for my subtimings. See if any subtiming settings are a factor.

    DDR3-2184Mhz (12x mem) vs DDR3-2118Mhz (10x mem)

    • QPI/DRAM volts = 1.55v vs 1.6375v due to lower bclk needed on 12x mem config
    • tRFC = 110 vs 88 could be a factor ?
    • tRRD = 7 vs 7 both same
    • tREFI = 955 vs 849
    • tFAW = 37 vs 33
    • tRTL A channel = 56 vs 57
    • tWTP = 27 vs 26
    • tRTP = 7 vs 6
    • Write to Read (same rank) = 20 vs 19

Going to play with subtimings and see

Update: Dropped cpu multiplier to 19x and using 10x memory multiplier, will try to reproduce similar looser subtimings as used in my DDR3-2184Mhz 7-8-7-20 1T run with 12x memory multiplier. I managed to get as far as Super Pi 32M stable @DDR3-2188Mhz 7-8-7-20 1T at 1.84v vdimm

Manually set following subtiming values in bios:
    • tRFC = 110
    • tFAW = 37
    • Back to Back CAS# Delay = 4 (tightened to try and offset loosened tRFC value)
    • Write to Read (same rank) = 20

    Super Pi 32M passed at:

    DDR3-2158Mhz 7-8-7-20 1T at 1.72v

    DDR3-2167Mhz 7-8-7-20 1T at 1.78v

    DDR3-2177Mhz 7-8-7-20 1T at 1.80v

    DDR3-2188Mhz 7-8-7-20 1T at 1.84v

thanks.. already tried 0601 beta which is older than 0007 (7/23 dated) and 0001 (8/14) dated betas (see bottom of 1st post in this thread)

    @4702Mhz - 4759Mhz at 1.568v

Was worth the effort in figuring out and applying 12x memory multiplier's subtimings for Corsair Dominator GT with 10x memory multiplier configuration. With manually set subtimings applied to 10x memory multiplier config, was able to get memory memtest86+ test #5 10x loop stable which was enough for me to pass Super Pi 32M @4702Mhz - 22x 214bclk with DDR3-2136Mhz 7-8-7-20 1T at 1.74v. That's a nice improvement over max 32M Pi @4660Mhz with DDR3-2118Mhz 7-8-7-20 1T at 1.84v

    Super Pi 1M @4759Mhz

I was bored so thought I'd pair 6GB Corsair Dominator GT (Elpida Hyper) memory with 6GB OCZ Platinum 1333 Animal series (Micron 2000C9 binned) for some 12GB overclocking fun

From a beginner in overclocking...Turbo seems to be fixed.
The rest of this board bugs not.
AHCI still is borked(except first SATA port) Hdd's on the rest ports mount after 1-2 min and read/write speed on them is very poor.
Same slow speed on SAS ports, and eSATA just one port works
If you can contact JJ or some other dev from ASUS please ask them to fix this bugs.

    Thanks!

    Yeah partially true

    Still nice board

Swapped out single 8800GT for 2x HD4870x2 CrossfireX. I flashed back my HD4870x2 cards from Asus HD4870x2 TOP bios to their original ATI reference HD4870x2 bioses (plan to sell these cards soon). Very nice 3dmark06 there!!

Just got this board myself and am slowly taming it, testing with 12gb of Dominator though so taking baby steps up, currently testing 20x200 and got that pretty much stable now

thanks... and congrats on getting the P6T6, I'd flash to 0601 or 0007 beta bioses first as they're really nice (link to download all the beta bioses at bottom of first post in this thread)

Cheers mate, currently on the 0407 bios, is there much difference between the two clocking wise?

After some tweaking last night got to 200x21 @ 1.272v load, RAM at 1603mhz so its good enough for a quick clock for me, passed a quick test of linx to check CPU stability and left running prime blend this morning (last checked it was 5 hours stable and counting)

Looking to get 210-215 BCLK hopefully when finished tweaking this fine board

Will give the beta's a go later

I have this board too. No problem.
This is the best motherboard I have ever used.

    PS: I installed 0001 bios.
    Anybody sells DOMINATOR GT, 6GB (3x2GB), 2000MHz, 7-8-7-20?
Please contact me if you want to sell them: I really need them.

Well 0007 > 0601 > 0407 from my experience so i stick with 0007 much better mem clocking and bclk slightly more stable at border max end.

Eva, might want to tell Asus that at least 210+ bclk the bios reports RTL for B to be 0. It doesn't matter if you add advance/delay or leave on auto/normal it doesn't change. The other two report correctly. Even CPU Tweaker 1.2 picks it up and shows 0. This is on bios 0509 that is released on Asus' site. I don't know if it is causing it, but when I was trying to get 210 bclk stable, Vista would always lock up on me no matter what I did and TurboV would BSOD if I tried to add vcore. I could change the other settings just no vcore as it would bsod.

never experienced that but then again never used 0509 bios, only used 0407, 0601 and 0007 bioses without such problem so worth a try with those bioes

Pushing it further with Corsair Dominator GT with 6-7-6-18 timings Pretty tricky getting higher due to fluctuating 3dmark06 cpu scores between runs heh

Finally broke 32k on water cooled cpu and stock air cooled HD4870x2 GPUs!

    New personal best for Aquamark3 as well HD4870x2 CF @865/935 = 337,153 !

    Top results again!

Will see about getting 0001 or 0007 on there for more testing, may help get stable with the 12gb RAM. one thread failed Prime blend after 6 hours and 18 mins

    So close to stability now!

Are the overclocking options available for xeons (qpi/uncore/mem ratios) in the bios? Did you notice turbo throttling with your Xeon? Thanks.
