That's a shame (if true).
I'm a bit cash strapped, it's nice to be able to run one board and two generations of CPUs without much hit.

I though max multi would be 63x...

Well that wouldn't be too much a problem for me...bclk would give ~2400-2600 where I can run CL7 with PSC. I guess higher frequency would give an advantage over that?

I heard x59 is max multi on Z68 as well.

Well that's a shame.
I may as well just get a cheap P67/Z68 board then for Sandy. (Will be my 24/7 gaming machine, selling AMD faildozer)
A guy near me clued me in on a local store with a lot of used 1366/1155 motherboards for cheap, and I found a 57x 2600K.

Should be enough CPU power for low end HD4850 and HD5770s.

I'm pending to buy 57x 2600K, seems I'm always a generation or a few months behind...but it will be my 24/7 chip too.
Will attempt to try Ivy this summer, but I need to buy a dewar first and they are really hard to find for cheap.

I hope my STT Hyper work with it, they do 2133 7-7-6-19 32M at 1.77v on AMD Bulldozer.

thanks the chip is mediocre at best, I think I am done with it and ready to try another one, it sucks for 3D and 4c 8t is pretty bad.

it was interesting to note that 8-10-7 was much faster than even 7-10-7, don't know why but a pretty big difference.

if they are good they should work fine, I know both my STT kits did not work with SB as they were not good enough (2000 7-7-7-21 & 2200 8-8-8-24) and would not run the 2133 divider, however I have a set of decent 2000 7-8-7-20 Dominator GT's and they run flawlessly with P67/Z68 but I have not tested them on Z77, too slow:p

My 3x2GB STT 2000 7-7-7-21 absolutely smashed my 2200 8-8-8-24 which I actually traded with ZenEffect (Sorry ZenEffect ) for PSC that ended up 2500 7-11-7-24 on faildozer, but he could just barely get the Hyper kit to do 2133 8-8-8-24 on SB. My PSC should do 6-10-6-24 past 2200 with SB though, so I need to see which is best (if Hypers work).

None of my Hypers out of the 10GB I've had have scaled with tRCD = CAS +1, and I can run tRP = CAS -1 at almost the same frequency. 7-8-7 MHz = 7-7-6 MHz...

I've never overclocked an intel platform since my Pentium II 350 MHz Deschutes (that I barely remember) back in 2002 via 133 MHz FSB option in BIOS... MSI motherboard died shortly after because of capacitor plague...my first computer

Yeah, you're right. youngpro has attacked many of SteveRo's PCMark submissions and a lot of people are rebenching GPUs on IB, all that makes as lose lots of points.
