    I bet you guys wondered what I was using for a cpu pot, was it just a tin can covered in armaflex?

    Well no hahaha I bought a used pot that was once owned by the legendary k404. Here it is with no

    insulation being used as an air cooler while I benched for the Gigabyte target comp.




    I figured out a way to just use foam/armaflex and paper towel instead of covering the board in that pesky kneaded eraser I had been using. Now

    I can easily and quickly change a cpu where before it would take an hour of messing with eraser.

    I'm glad to hear you're happy with the pot. I have an Otterauge pot as well, though it's a different one. Otterauge never made many of one kind anyway, but lots of different models. You can find most his pots in this gallery at Awardfabrik.

    Won myself a sweet deal on this GA-990FXA-UD3 rev. 4 which is the newest I think and it comes with a Sempron 145 for cheap. Seems like a popular combo and I can only assume it was a mining machine but hey at least its broke in good! Should be here Fri. Now I can have a go with AM3+.
