    MSI GTX260 Lightning softmod

The softmod as used by the Swedish team at "Msi Overclocking Arena 2009'.
Can only be used for the 'MSI GTX 260 Lightning' for any other (MSI) GTX260 use the regular options for softmodding.

    Download
    http://overklokken.info/images/MSI_G...ltage_Tool.bat (Right click, 'save as')

    Screenshot

    How to use
    1. Place the 'MSI_GTX260L_Voltage_Tool.bat' in your rivatuner folder.
    2. Double click the 'MSI_GTX260L_Voltage_Tool.bat' enter the HEX value for the by you wanted voltage. (You can also lower the voltage, see the datasheet for all offsets)
    3. Make sure you typed the right HEX value and enter 'Y' or 'yes' and press enter.
    4. Check the commands that will be run and press enter.
    5. Check the voltage with an multimeter on the card
    6. Overclock the hell out of the card (don't forget the ocp mod(credits to hipro5)
    7. If you are running into stability problems caused by memory, try to vmod your memory to. This can only be done by an hard-mod.

    Hipro5 ocp mod

P.S. This only works for single card setups for now, an sli version can be made on request.

The ocp mod isn't that hard, you only need to vmod the total IMAX. So that is only 1 thing to solder. Instead of 3.

Thanx alot Neil, for making this, and the great support you gave us.
I really appreciate it that you shared this with us for the contest. It worked really well, we experienced no problems at all with this tool.

    Great job on this one!

Shouldn't this work with any card with the same IC? Seems to be a nice solution, I remember "someone" raising his OVP limit by 0.006V at the time, each mod taking a half an hour.

If the address of the chip is the same on his card it should work. If it has a different address I can change the address for him.

Afterburner only goes to 1,3v, or did you 'change' the software?
    This goes to 1.8v.

And you only need to install rivatuner, no other cr*p. But everyone is free to install what they want.

i find it suprising that MSI would allow competitors to load files onto the competition rigs....could someone explain how that worked?
otherwise great stuff here...hardmods are really bad for warranties

Does it need different codes to work with my Asus 285 TOP? How to find the correct ones?
