    Core i7 920 + Asus P6T: 7'06.984" 32m (first time LN2)

Hi everyone, this is from my first LN2 session. It's actually the second time I've tried LN2, but last time was in the Conroe days and my PSU blew and took out a stick of ram and the mobo before I could even get into Windows.

My Windows is totally screwed from crashing at the beginning of the session, I had to quit benching because it was so messed up by the end. Turns out this set up likes -50c more than -100c, took me about 10l of LN2 and a lot of crashes to figure that out.

    Rig:
    Core I7 920 D0 3849A846
    Asus P6T
    Kingston HyperX PC16000C8 3x1GB
    Geforce FX5200 PCI
    PC Power and Cooling 750w
    Mousepot Rev. 2

7'06.984" (-50c, I think a lot lower VCore would have worked)

7'11.187" (Dry Ice, -67c, before all the crashes, much more efficient)

    8'24.063" (Dry Ice, Uncore)

Nice results. I wonder what you could do on a "clean" OS?

Since when did Asus start hitting high bclocks? Especially not on the RIIE that so many owners are not happy with.

Nice clock..! What BIOS were you using and did you have any trouble with the multiplier jumping up and down?

Nice results, a couple questions....did you boot into windows at those clocks, or use a util to raise the clock in windows? Also, since you didn't indicate otherwise, I assume you crashed when you attempted to raise Bclk higher than 244.8, is this correct?

Thanks. I haven't done any testing with 1m or WPrime, and so I didn't want to waste any LN2 with them. Once I get a 32m time that I'm happy with I'll run them. Besides, 1m on Nehalem isn't that much fun.

    Chuchnit:

With cleaner OS times should be 1s faster at those clocks, and another 20-40mhz is possible for 32m, so I'd say 2-4 seconds faster overall. I think Asus latest BIOS revision 0603 has done a lot for the boards, but R2E does seem dissapointing.

    Jobu:

BIOS is 0603, and I didn't have any trouble with the multi. I think if you disable CState and all of the throttling options in the bios there are no problems with multi.

    Roller11:

I was most of the way through 32m at 5160mhz, but then it just dissapeared and the next time I booted into windows it ran check disk, so I think my install was just hosed from to many crashes at the beginning of the session when I was still getting a feel for LN2. If you look at the PP difference between my 5078mhz run and my 5140mhz run you'll see that my install had already lost a whole second, so it was very messed up by that point. Next time 32m at 5160-5180mhz will be no problem. I didn't adjust settings in windows for any of my runs.

I've been up to 247.8 Bclk/5200mhz on dry ice in previous runs, but I think that's the limit of my board. If I had a classified higher clocks would definately be possible.

    Stapler,
Your 5203 CPU clock is outstanding, should be your headliner.
    Nice going!
