    Very nice scores FlanK3r & m411b!

My best in 32bit so far was shy of 4GHz as seen on both screen shots So chew* score is unbeatable for now! I might try 32bit tomorrow just to see if I can push 4.08GHz ...
I've also heard that Win7 scheduler is much better at distributing tasks across cores, so one would hope it will do even better than good old XP x64!

I'm trying to install Win7 for 2 months now (laziness) ! I will get it done eventually (this year for sure ).

Installing win 7 myself now after some aggravation.....seems my disc was junk. I need it for some future work. Kinda ironic I'm installing the latest software on a IDE drive but there's a reason for that as well.

Particle's First Rule of Online Technical Discussion:
As a thread about any computer related subject has its length approach infinity, the likelihood and inevitability of a poorly constructed AMD vs. Intel fight also exponentially increases.

    Rule 1A:
Likewise, the frequency of a car pseudoanalogy to explain a technical concept increases with thread length. This will make many people chuckle, as computer people are rarely knowledgeable about vehicular mechanics.

    Rule 2:
When confronted with a post that is contrary to what a poster likes, believes, or most often wants to be correct, the poster will pick out only minor details that are largely irrelevant in an attempt to shut out the conflicting idea. The core of the post will be left alone since it isn't easy to contradict what the person is actually saying.

    Rule 2A:
When a poster cannot properly refute a post they do not like (as described above), the poster will most likely invent fictitious counter-points and/or begin to attack the other's credibility in feeble ways that are dramatic but irrelevant. Do not underestimate this tactic, as in the online world this will sway many observers. Do not forget: Correctness is decided only by what is said last, the most loudly, or with greatest repetition.

    Rule 3:
When it comes to computer news, 70% of Internet rumors are outright fabricated, 20% are inaccurate enough to simply be discarded, and about 10% are based in reality. Grains of salt--become familiar with them.

Remember: When debating online, everyone else is ALWAYS wrong if they do not agree with you!

You just can't win. If your product offers feature A instead of B, people will moan how A is stupid and it didn't offer B. If your product offers B instead of A, they'll likewise complain and rant about how anyone's retarded cousin could figure out A is what the market wants.

Well since I never really focused on this save for an all bench stable screen I decided to see how far this particular cpu can go.......

Win 7 32 bit, just installed and already hammering it.

This is for you FlanK3r and m411b....

It's unusually cool here tonight for summer, and that may have something to do with this result, but I finally got a good CB10 run over 4Ghz on a 64 bit OS (Win7)...
    See this thread: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=230160

The score is only marginally better than the one I got with my 940, but the cool aspects are that this was done with an unlocked X2 550, I broke the 4Ghz barrier for 64bit/CB10, and I did it at a lower V's on the Core and the IMC...

chew*: FWIW man, I tried dropping my mem clocks down to 1066 (DDR2 speeds) and it really didn't seem to help... Don't get me wrong, your input is ALWAYS welcomed, but it seems like lowering the mem clocks may help more at sub zero than it does at ~ambient temps...

Congrats Dave on breaking 4GHz Cinebench 64bit under normal cooling conditions

My CPU can't do that. I've tried even 1.68V and cold air, but all attempts were futile

Running Cinebench at 4GHz is easy but how to obtain a decent score?
