    248 bClk on Bloodrage & i7 920 @ 5.2Ghz

    Tired of Classified ?
I Managed to clock quite nicely with this board, one of the highest bClk I have managed to see on a non classified board.

    My shabby system:
    - Intel Core i7 920 (Batch# 3850A795)
    - Foxconn Bloodrage GTI (with PCI-E hardmod)
    - Kingston HyperX T1 2000Mhz 6GB
    - Coolermaster Silent Pro 700W PSU
    - Dry Ice POT by Duniek, Semisolid (Temps about -65c/-60c)
    - Some crappy VGA card and HDD.

    Max Validation:

    SuperPi 1M - 7.895s

    SuperPi 8M - 1m29.297s

    SuperPi 32M - 7m17.453s

    PiFast - 16.42s

    wPrime 32M - 4.827s

Some Shots from the end of the run:

Maybe some 3D benches later when I get a decent GFX card.

    That's it for now folks

Brilliant OC results, Fox. Not only is your chip a clear winner, but you went the extra mile to document with all the pics and 2D tests we could ask for.
Two questions: where did you get the thermal probes, and what batch num?

Looking forward to some 3D results, nice job!

Thanks massman, I am really proud.

The Pifast is 2nd for Core i7 920 on HWBOT and the SuperPi 1M is 5th Place for Core i7 920 on HWBOT.

Won my first cup and medal today (on hwbot), I feel so satisfied and finally I am filled with some OC spirit

Thanks for your kind words roller, you chip is still reigning in 1st Place on HWBOT, I wish I could put my chip on a classi and see what it can do.

The Probe is from a nice OCer who had too many thermometers, got it from him at a cheap price, too bad Fluke don't make this model anymore, cheap and reliable.

BTW, My CPU batch# is 3850A795, I always knew it is a 5Ghz+ chip, just couldn't get the right board to show it.

    Thanks Hyperhorn

Without the hardmod the max bClk was ~229Mhz, so we can conclude that this mod is very effective

quite nice scores when its has seemed for the longest time that the bloodrage is pretty tricky and frustrating board to overclock, really awesome to see this board overclocking so nicely. keep tearing it up mate

Ehm.. not sure if you mean some hardcore OC (L2N/DICE) but on air OCing is very easy.. never had any problem with board so far..

    Maybe less trust in HardOCP?

I used various settings from 110Mhz-120Mhz though it doesn't seem to have any effect above 106-108Mhz, so I usually leave it at 116Mhz

    Hey Oliver,
On Default the PCI-E is limited to 103.4Mhz which simply not enough to get the bClk juice

229Mhz was on cold buddy, air/water didn't cut it
Btw, check the QPI link mode=disabled, can get you some extra room with bClk, gave me almost 10Mhz alone.
Efficiency is not the best but clocks are very nice
