This is a computer for a friend of mine.
I'm not a newb to building but I am a virgin when it comes to X58/Core i7...
Criticism is not always liked.but it's always welcome. Oh and this is my first build log and post with images so bear with me please...
Components.
COOLER MASTER Storm Scout
I'm not crazy about the clips that hold in the video card, sound card, etc... they are the same ones used on the Cooler Master Centurion. I broke three of them in my old case.. don't plan on taking things in and out...or be careful if you do.
This is the best part...All black inside...No Spray paint or powercoat needed...Outfreakinstanding.
Core i7 920
EVGA X58 SLI LE
I love that it's blacked out.. I know looks aren't everything, but they make for a good view through the window.
Corsair 6gb (3x2gb) DDR3
1600mhz 8-8-8-24 1.65v
EVGA GTX 275
Core Clock 633MHz
Memory Clock 2268MHz
Memory Size 896MB DDR
Memory Interface 448-bit
Stream Processors 240 Processor Cores
PC Power & Cooling Silencer 910W
Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit SP1
Western Digital Caviar Black's
7200rpm's
32mb buffers
500GB for OS
1TB for video files.
The rest of the pics are just random....no need for captions... The wires need cleaned up, but I was way to anxious to get it fired up.
Some Benchmarking results. Not sure if they are any good. If you have any suggestions on benchmarks to try, please let me know.... No overclocking has been done. All numbers are based on Stock Clocks.
Finished Product. I did the best I could with the cables....there just wasn't anywhere to tuck them adequately.
