I like to wait til the release date and pick it off the shelf at best buy. No need for pre order.
If you did that, you better go buy 3 4890s or 3 285s so you can run it on medium settings. . .. .
I wonder if this game can actually do something revolutionary, like aliens invading Earth.
I'm still waiting to play Crysis at 1920X1200 with 4xAA/8xAF, but until then I don't dare to play. I was on the beta for multi-player, though.
For my part I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of the stars makes me dream.

Any one who relies on only one source of information is a fool.
Let's just hope CryEngine 3 is optimized better on that upcoming game.

they made cryengine 3 to run on consoles so our PC's have plenty of power to run it maxed out at high resolutions. that is only if they coded it correct for PC hardware which if it is like any other console port they did not. so it will still run terrible on PC's. i am really starting to hate console ports. they run fine on most PC's but not nearly as fast as they could run on the hardware you put them on. not to mention somethings on them are half done and not thought through or tested for bugs. i really would like to see some PC only games made to run on a good machine so we can see what this multi thousand dollar hardware can really do.

I really dont think there is any need to preorder games like this. They just never sell out, especially telling is crysis vanilla and warhead record for sales. Only mmo's would be ideal since there' always that 'first to level' factor.
I just wish the teaser actually had a little footage of something,
even if it's not game play, but it really has 2/3's of nothing.

I hope if anything it runs better... but they gotta keep their Ultimate GPU benching tool status, so it'll definitely with:
1.Minimum
2.Mainstream
3.Gamer
4.Enthusiast
5.Holy Gawd
What I hope too see from Crysis 2:
- Better optimized engine (uses 4+ cores even without a heavy physics load, doesn't kill GPUs on mainstream (medium/high) settings)
- Pushes even the best gaming systems on the highest settings w/AA
- Better MP and support (Don't do the Crysis 1.3 patch crap, improved anticheat)
- Improved gameplay (doesn't feel rushed or incomplete like the later levels in Crysis)
- Runs good on mainstream gaming rigs (on medium/high)
- PC version doesn't get held back by consoles in any serious way (such as small maps)

Interesting how there also offer it to xbox 360 and ps3, maybe they have a Xtreme mode for PC and a regular for the consoles
Pre-order Ships 3/30/2010 kinda along wait eh
Nothing to see here, I also saw shops offering Duke Nukem Forever for preorder.
I'm sure it was 1998 .. . wait . . . . oh snap.
Why preorder these days? I mean games do sell out here but there are so many stores, it is only a short drive to the next. I used to preorder games on the PS1 but that was because they did sell out. . . everywhere [less stores back then].
I heard that it's supposed to be a little better graphics then crysis on medium settings. If this is the case then we should be able to run it maxed out.
