ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 Sata ports

    Hello,

I know that the motherboard has 6 sata ports and can do RAID. My question is if you enable RAID on the sata ports, and say your running raid 10, would you be able to use the other two ports for say another hard drive and an optical drive? I ask this because I have 5 hard drives, 4 in RAID 10, 1 storage and 1 optical drive. I would like to be able to use the boards RAID this time around, and sell away my RAID card. I'm not worried about performance as much as I would like to be able to use S1 and S3 standby and for some reason my RAID card doesn't let me do this.

    6 Sata Ports
    ------------
    4x HDD Raid 10
    1x HDD storage
    1x optical

    Thank you for your help!

Usually you can download the manual in .pdf format from the manufacturers website. It is usually a good idea to at least skim the manuals of products you are going to buy before you buy them, just to make sure you are comfortable with some of the features such as the BIOS.
