Crap....looks like something happened to 2 rigs already. I hope my wifes friend did not shut down one of the computers. Also looks like one of my rigs with 2 gpus; something happened. Its been running strong, now it shows half production. It did have an update so I do not know. we'll see tomorrow. I am goanna have to make sure my wifes friend didn't shut down the other computer as it did not have anything on the last update.

Of course that is just a single gpu and may hae not quite been done with a wu Production on that rig is low too; this could mean I am 3 gpus short for a week

Now I hav to hope that my x3440 holds up. Its running@4ghz with no adult supervision

Seems like we offended the same deity. One thing after another.

If your are on vacation just forget the farm and enjoy yourself. If there is nothing you can do about it then let go.

The saga of my 192 core GTX 260 continues. The card I got back from the RMA. The good news is that after 8 hours total of gaming no crashes on either of 2 drivers. The bad news it just does not like CUDA. GPUGrid no go. F@H does ok until it gets a 576x WU and crash. All F@H wants to send it is 576x. After a weekend of deleting folders and files and restarting the frustration level with Stanford was pretty high. Thought that it should be doing something so thought I would try Milkyway@home, I am interested in astronomy, have Meade 9x66 binoculars and star gaze often. But their web site was extremely slow and I could not get WUs. Ended up on Seti@home, used to do that one before WCG came online. So far 1 errored WU, 1 driver crash and 1 PC freeze. But about 20 finished WUs. Takes about 24 minutes per WU. Went from 191.xx driver back to 182.50 so hopefully I'll get something out of it. Even after all that I got #2 slice of pie so not an active project for XS.

When I can think or say F@H and not feel like punching someone I will go back and see what WUs I get.

GPUGrid is bringing a cache online just for 260s so will try that when it comes online.

^^^ Well I hope that they figure something out. Sucks you having so many problems.

I found out that my wifes system blue screened before we left for some reason. I think I need to do a bios update and recheck settings. I do not allow boinc to automatically start because it sometimes beats precision and runs at default clocks. My wife neglected to tell me about this till today . So not only is 1 card down, but I am 8 threads short on WCG. oh well. I'm over it.

Also its weird one of my rigs runs 2 gpu's, but I am only getting 1 caards worth of production. not sure whats going on. At least I am only down 2 cards and 1 CPU

Does that mean Precision should always run before BOINC, otherwise the OC may have no effect?

BOINC only processes software, it does nothing directly to your hardware.

If you don't believe, go ahead and start BOINC, now open Precision and up your shaders to the max allowed and watch it crash.

I use the following in my cc_config.xml file so everything loads and incase I am doing something and need time after a reboot to suspend it or make a quick change.

    <start_delay>75</start_delay>

    the 75 is seconds.

Once I was not thinking and playing with Precision while Boinc was running and saved changes and not only did the running GPUGrid WU error so did all in queue.

well i've climbed up the rank ladder to #12 in RAC pretty fast, and now my new goal is to make it to top 10. i'm at 27k in RAC's now and i realized that in order to move up just two more places, i would have to double my output . that's just crazy. great job everyone, especially top 10

EDIT: finally! rank #10 in RAC . it took much much sooner than i thought
