So I finished painting my DVD drive and my Mosfet heat sinks. I dont want to water cool the mosfets because I think it tends to look cluttered when you start having that many blocks, but having the heat sinks copper wasnt going to go with my nickel theme. So, I decided why not black.

For those interested in the HD mount. I made these on my lathe out of 1/4" Aluminum rod.

I was originally making the bracket out of 3/8" clear acrylic but based on the opinion of the laser shop, they recommended that it might be more cost effective if had two 3/16" brackets cut and sandwiched together.

Keep in mind the protective film is still on so that I dont scratch them before they are mounted permanently.

The smaller square cutouts match the cutouts on the original bracket and the larger square cutouts will accommodate the cables going to the mobo

The height appears to be perfect. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to get the 2nd rad to sit lower then the video card but as you can see the card is still the highest point (which is what I wanted)

Here is a quick shot of the cable routing. Plenty of room to fit everything

Everything else will be here at the end of the week so more pictures to follow.

    Thanks!

Do you mean the DVI cable? There is actually plenty of room between the back of the mobo and the bracket. if you look at the last pic the DVI cable is actually partially visible.

It will look really clean once all the water stuff is on there and once Nils gets some MDPC back in stock.
