As stated by myself previously in this thread, why on Earth has AMD gone down this nonsensical naming route?
I just misread this thread as AMD 965 killer (as in AMD had a CPU able to compete with the Core i7 965)

Stop looking at the walls, look out the window
to be honest i think their naming scheme seems quite simple, and ways laid out ages ago, so people would understand the path
Simple. i7 makes up a hell of lot more than 1% of Intel's processor sales. That means what you saying is Wayyyyyyyyy off there buddy! Oh and Chad, if you think PhII 965 or even 955 as well is mass produced you're fooling yourself.
Failure, where? It fails is not the same as saying it is a failure. It falls short of its name. Again Chad, the similarities to the Prescott are haunting Where were such arguments while AMD shipped a few thousand FX processor for 999 to 1399 dollars? IMHO, only some one on Crack would think AMD wouldn't (rightly I might add) do the same thing again.
I went back to PhII 940 because that's when I bought my Q9550. I didn't buy it last week or even 3 weeks ago. NONE of the PhII's that sounds like their Intel name sakes come close in performance. Thank goodness for their prices. Yet, if AMD can't come up with something better, those prices stay at sub $300 and they stay in the red. The next AMD processor needs to compete with an Intel i7 950 so AMD as can at least ask for $500.

PS:remove thread to AMD section please. Thank you.
reborn of Phenom II times with LN2 few days ago. I was lazy reinstall OS for this. I used HHD with 990FX with 890FX board etc. I tried some benchmarks with my x4 965 BE again....
maxclock 6659.9
superpi1M
Superpi 32M
PiFast
Wprime 32M
I tried after wprime 1024M, but I have some issues-BSODs again and again and later I had no more LN2 for enxt runs
Cinebench R11.5, with only -70 C (I had no more LN2 )
I wish to have more, more times. Still I have untested x4 970 BE (LN2), x6 1090T BE, A10-5600K, A10-5800K and second A8-3870K.

You revived a 4 year old thread....
That's bad and you should feel bad.
My Rig can do EpicFLOPs, Can yours?
Once this baby hits 88 TeraFLOPs, You're going to see some serious $@#%....
Build XT7 is currently active.

Don't revive threads in the news section even if they have a relevant subject just because you want more traffic. That's a no-no!
another zombie thread :P
When i'm being paid i always do my job through.
I made mistake, srry (i thought, is it from AMD section first), and I edited later it with moe this thread to AMD section, if is it possible
