    LanParty Georgia 2009

First of all, excuse me if I opened the thread in the wrong forum. Please, move it to another if needed.

So, with the initiative of Georgian Overclockers Team (which is living @ overclockers.ge) and the sponsorship of beer 3D, computer shop gITec and club nightOffice the second LanParty in Republic of Georgia has conducted. Our first party was smaller and not so much beautiful, it was just the first experiment. The second one became much better that the first LanParty, so our team decided to show it to you

I'll focus on showing the images with some comments and postscripts.

So the first - place for LP: nightOffice (http://www.nightoffice.ge)
Officialy nightOffice is chillout/restaurant/club, but it turned out to be great place for LanParty 2009. Here are some pics of inside:

Our sponsors, beer 3D (http://www.natakhtari.com/) and computer shop gITec (http://www.gitec.ge):

Razer got interested in gaming party (June 19, overclocking was @ June 20).

    and the lonely 3D:

    then.. the action:

    LN2

DI for participants. Most participants were using DI, cause they did not have thermometers. But there was also LN2 for every participant, who wished to use it. Some of them risked of course:

Our two presentation systems - left on Core i7 920 & DFI X58, right one on E8600 & Asus Maximus Formula (In fact, Maximus Formula went crazy - it has done 618 mhz FSB without the NB frozen: http://www.hwbot.org/result.do?resultId=866956 ):

    Maximus system with F1 EE:

    Nehalem system:

aaand the best of best eXtreme girls for eXtreme party (just to make our overclockers crazy):

More pics coming in the second post.

our DJ (I have tried a lot, but he did not persuade to drink LN2 with me )

    TV journalists @ LanParty:

A big part of our prizes:

    Some pics of participants:

    Some pics from award ceremony:

All in all, LanParty 2009 was big success for Goergian Overclockers Team. The sponsors felt great and now, few days after the LP, most of us are boooosted and inspired to overclock much more.

Our next party will eventually be much more better than this, the second one

Thanks, nice to hear that We even want to invite some overclockers, e.g. from Russia. Maybe it will be possible for the next parties with the help of our sponsors.
We are just developing now. Also as Georgia is small country, we have few overclockers here

P.S. Is your dad Georgian? Was he born here?

Yeah, we all liked nightOffice, it turned out to be great place for such parties.
There were two parties @ two days June 19 and 20.
June 19 was gaming party, with about 50 participants.
June 20 was the overclocking champ with about 30 participants + 2 demonstration systems.
Overclocking champ was divided into two parts, because it was impossible for 30 men to bench together there.

And yes, we got beer, music, prizes (the total cost of the prizes was about 3000-3200$. I will add full list of prizes in the third reserved post today) and two extreme dancing girls for that. + Georgian Overclockers Team got some money from sponsor as roaylties for that party and to help us to develop quickly.
    And yes, it's all great!
I think just our sponsors are great

Im actually in the states, and ive actually never been back to russia since i was a baby. But my dad isnt "technically" georgian but some of my family is georgian and he grew up there for the first 8 years of his life. We have alot of georgian friends and family so we also cook georgian food

I found it really cool that you guys were overclocking, knowing that you guys are such a small country. I wish i could have gone to such a LAN. I think that i might still have family in Georgia.

Im russian, but im also moldavian, ukranian, belorussian, bulgarian, georgian, you get the drift...

Great going guys!! benching with friends is the best possible experience. You just have to remember to keep focused on the OC'ing, not staring at the dance girls hehe
