    Rampage II Gene pci-e problems

Top pci-e slot is having issues. Whenever I use any GPU the system locks up after a while. If I use the bottom pci-e slot its fine. Any ideas?

Try a different card if you have one and see if you can produce the same problem. If you can, maybe it's time to do an RMA because that slot might be bad.

My Gene II heats up enormously making it very unstable. The PCB of my GTX 285 and the closest dimm near the NB heatsink get very hot too. Installed an Antec spotcool and NB temps dropped a freaking 30°C from 92°C to 62°C. I wouldn't use the X58 in an HTCP case with a big OC... those things must be ovens inside...
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

May be worth flashing the lastest BIOS and increasing your PCI-E clock as it might help.
