thats no the whole thing look at the asterisks
    * Dual core processors, such as the Intel Pentium D 805, are not supported
** Video cards that have only 256MB of RAM are not supported

and here is the page link
    http://store.steampowered.com/app/9870/

and the minimum (makes no sense), the x1800 g45 and 8400 are completely different tiers and why not having the x1600/1650 since its got the g45 and 8400
    Minimum:

OS: Windows XP SP2, Windows Vista 32-bit and 64-bit
    Processor: Intel® Core™2 Duo E4300 or AMD Athlon X2 +3800 *
    Memory: 2 GB RAM
    Graphics: ATI Radeon X1800-series 512MB, Intel G45 Express Chipset, NVIDIA GeForce 8400 512MB **

Saw the previews for this awhile back, definitely going to pick this up! The physics engine is awesome, great graphics too. I never would have given this a second look if not for the previews I woulda thought it was just another bargain bin movie game. This is not the case!

Yup even some positive comments along the lines of "solid graphics and gameplay" from the notoriously hard to please Blues News crowd. Definitely a shame no multi though, especially co-op. There are so few and this one would be a great fit. For $30 I'll pick it up. Loved the movie as a kid anyway

if u do buy it make sure that u get it on steam it has a nasty vershion of securom.

and i want this game but im not going to get it becouse of the lack of multi player. i was amped about to go to game stop and buy it then i found that the retail has securom 6.x and not the check disk one and it has no multiplayer on a multiplayer game that was demod by activision (the original owner) with fully working multiplayer on the pc

I could be wrong but i'm pretty sure none of the versions are multiplayer online. Just with the consoles you have 4 controllers so you can play 4 player co-op with your friends. I only have one keyboard so doubt I could play multiplayer on the computer anyways. I don't even think you can set up a pc with 4 controllers? Maybe that's why they scrapped it.

Yea I just watched the Gamespot review, mulitplayer is online on the 360 and PS3. Kinda sucks that it's not on the pc but i'm still gonna pick it up since it's only 30 bucks for PC versus 60 for Xbox and PS3 seems like a good deal plus I don't usually play games online for very long anyway. Plus it's GHOSTBUSTERS! LOL This is gonna be awesome to play

I've just finished it on PS3 and it looks so much better on the PC than it does the PS3.

I wouldn't have said it was like L4D, it kind of feels like an interactive Ghostbusters movie, most of the cut scenes happen with the in game engine, and even as you progress from one area to another the characters all talk to each other with the same kind of banter found in the films. Plus you never feel panic like you do with l4d because you never really die, you just get knocked over and then the ghosts leave you alone.

If you are a fan of the film then the single player is definitely worth a look as the plot and voice acting are genuinely entertaining. Gameplay can drag in a few sections with an overabundance of action and no puzzles, but the modifications done to the Proton pack are welcome as it increases the different ways in which you can trap a ghost. (I love slime dunking!)

The game looks really cool. If it didn't have that shady DRM (I looked it up -- 5 limited activations, online authentication required) I'd purchase it. But since it's a rental I'll wait until it comes down to 5 or 10 bucks. I'm not renting anything for thirty bucks.

Steam is almost as bad as limited activation SecuROM. Steam will never be installed on my box. I either get the game I paid for as it is in full without a 3rd party client on my box, or the company doesn't get my $$

i dont see how steam is as bad it dosnt have malware built in and they tell u if a game dose have malware in it, sure u can sell the game but then u cant with an activation game. and for a multi player only game i have no problem with steam (CSS, l4d, COD, UT3), with a single player only i can see why u wouldent want it but if u have to choose from steam or securom the cracks look mighty attractive for a single player game

I fully understand what you're saying zanzabar -- Steam rubs me the wrong way because it forces you to install their client just to play a single player game. Personally the online authentication drives me crazy in any game, but at least it doesn't turn the game into a rental like the limited activations does. Steam just pi$$es me off because of their client and the risk of their system going down one day and you not being able to play the games you paid for. They say they have a system in place so that if they ever went out of business they can make all the games run without a client, but it's just the same yada yada yada bullsh*t -- if they went out of business I highly doubt they'd do anything to take care of their customers. Just give me the game I paid for so I can install it and play it. No 3rd party distributor client, and no limited activations and I'll be happy. I own many many many games. The only one with shady DRM I currently own is Crysis:Warhead and that's because I didn't know it had the dirty stuff on it before I purchased it. Consumers absolutely must take a stand or this will continue to get worse.

Edit: I also wanted to add that like you said, the fact you can't re-sell the game if you hate it makes Steam suck even more than it does without that little bullet point.

i was saying that games that are for multi player only i have no problem with using steam, counter strike, left for dead, unreal turny, call of duty were u would be online anyways and they have them on sale for $10-20. then i will buy steam but they profit from making u choose from steam or securom

That's party because of the craptastic blur filter (quincunx AA) used on the PS3 in addition to using worse textures. The 360 version looks better than the PS3 version as well, but I haven't seen a comparison between the 360 and PC versions.

Why it's not worth a buy on PC

8 Hours of game play? If that?
    No Multiplayer? WTF
Add on mods? Only time will tell
$30 bucks for 8 hours $3.75 per hour of game play.
I loved the ghost busters movies. I didn't crack a smile till about 2 hours into the game.
Repetitive. Scan , Shoot, Slam and Dump. All day
Some of the puzzles are ok, but it really slows down the actions.
I don't see anything wrong with "trying the game"
But it's not worth my $30 bucks. I think buying the 2 movies on DVD, will have more replay then this game.

Just finished this game today. Super fun game, with really nice looking graphics. Two drawbacks; 1) short, most will likely finish within 8 hrs and, 2) no multiplayer Aside from that well worth $30 bucks!
