2010,perhaps a C32 (G34 would be too much $$$$) socket based, with OC options of course. There are no amd workstation boards on the market right now that can OC.
Not counting the old Asus L1 that won*t run any 45nm.
    I know it*s not their specialty,but it*s innovation.
Use the same basic logic as 3870 x2 did for GPUs to compete.
There is profit in it too.

I think that the DFI is not interested in dual socket boards.

ASUS or MSI is more likely to release such mobo.

ASUS, yes. MSI is very doubtful. They are giving up on the Speedster line. Shame.

DFI were not interested in ION or low-power. Now they've invented Hybrid. Heck, they weren't even interested in overclocking or consumer mobos at one time. DFI are innovators, what SocketMan is suggesting is innovation. I hope they listen

Anyway what about the UT 790FXB-M3eH7? How often do you use it?

    4. For high end market, our product design of AMD 890 was just rendered to AMD for review.
where can I sign up so I can get one when it's available to retail (heck I could ask like Oliverda to join the BT club, I think I deserve it, I'm on my 4th dfi and wishing hard for the 890 UT to come out to be the 5th, but what I really want is real deal and don't mind expecting a few months for it)

Apparently no more DFI consumer mobos as of January

DFI rumored to exit consumer mobos
Industrial to continue on, consumers lose a great maker

IT IS OUR really sad duty to inform you about rumors that DFI will be leaving the consumer motherboard business in January. The company is not going away, and will be refocusing on the industrial PC business.

Our sources say that it is selling off remaining consumer inventory and will not be replenishing it. In a word, this sucks, DFI was one of the most innovative companies out there and always had something cool to show off.

We hear that one of the major causes was that it was a relatively small player in the high end business, and because of that frequently got shafted on allocation. You would think that the chipset vendors would have realized that any firm doing innovative things was worth supporting, but that doesn't seem to have been the case.

If all this is true, get your DFI boards while you can. Lets hope someone comes in at the last minute and changes things to prevent another Abit. DFI was one of the last interesting small players out there, and if these rumors are true it will be a shame to see it go away.S|A

That is a very interesting read that DFI dropped out of consumer market. I must say that it is sad to see them leave, as my original first build was awesome with their DFI board on a Barton core amd.

However, I think things went from there... as my other two DFI mobo builds went to crap. Took the switch to EVGA & Intel. Not looking back now.

Little late to the party are you not Bro?

Yes, quite sad indeed! D.F.I in my personal opinion and many years of my loyalty to their motherboards which I regarded as Server Stable and Reliable are no more regretfully Seeing how I cannot and am unwilling to rely on the other brands in the entheusiat market I am strictly SuperMicro for my builds these days as I do not overclock anymore being how I just do not have the time these days.

I guess they wont, and still i dont know what other brand to pick. I read so much crap about everything, MSI overvolting lately, EVGA having bad support, ASUS is no option since last thing i heard was the biosses are halfway done, ASrock they say is good but i wont put an ASrock in ever.. Gigabyte mhm i dunno..

All brands people kept saying they are awesome vanished.. And me left behind

Looking for the next insider brand, not a mainstream 08/15..

    Any suggestions?

Yeh, just getting around to reading about this now, as I had not seen DFI boards lately. As far as relying on other brands, I don't see what all the glitter and stars are with the DFI, I guess I missed that boat.

I haven't had a single problem with my current setup, its overclocked, tweaked, different bios, the ati cards have different bios, I have the areca card, and I have not a single complaint.

the last dfi boards were complete disappointments; their VRMs either squealed (intel) or were seriously underpowered (AMD), they failed very often, were overpriced for what you got

DFI simply stopped making great boards after 2006-2007 because they couldn't keep up with asus, gigabyte and msi
