    New AM3-WR: 481k

Today we, BenchBrothers.de, had a short session. Our goal was to achieve a AM3-score as high as possible. And we did it:

Oldie but goldie 5870 did a great job. We had four runs higher than 480k. One was tied with current wr, one was at 480,9k but crashed, then we had a 480k and finally 481k.

Was a great day and great benching. And by the way:

5870 is still kicking ass in AM3. Together with a crazy cpu you get insane scores.

We used about 1.95 volts for this run. CPU is still alive but no idea how long this state will last.

No Lightning here. Just a good card with reference-pcb. Was cooled down to -50 to -60 degrees, 1.45 volt vgpu. It's our best clocking 5870.

1m was just to have a score. Nothing tweaked, same os like AM3:

    (click for larger version)

    And a quick PiFast:

    (click for larger version)

We also did a quick wPrime 32m at 6.5 ghz (was about 2.53x seconds) but didn't save the score.

Our focus this day was clearly AM3. We knew that we have a very good efficiency with our os but achieving a world record is still something special.
