Liquid frostbyte makes its return to service

So IIRC this guy was originally an HX design chiller.......I purchased it from the original owner and commisioned reggie to convert it to a drop coil ( seeing as he was the original builder )

I believe at that time it was charged with a blend of gasses.....

Unfortunately I didn't get much use from it for various reasons.......

Shipping is harsh on refrigeration devices.....

I eventually commisioned a company named coldmasters to fix/find the leak and recharge it.......2 weeks and $300 later I had a working unit for 2 weeks till it leaked out.......again.....

4 years it sat till today well yesterday......it's 1am now.....

I finally got off my ass went to my buddies garage dragged out the AC machine and pulled a vaccum on it, found the leak and brazed it...... pulled vaccum for another hour.....pumped it with oil and 134A ( I no longer have a license to buy refrigerant as a mechanic )

And here she is after 30 minutes with a 1/4 ratio denatured alcohol / propylene glycol....

I tuned her for load and not max temps so.......don't expect miracles......

After a few hours this appears to be the max temps......Farenheit left Celcius right.

Load testing was performed by probably the most barbaric of methods......

Stole the wifes hair dryer, tossed it on max heat and high speed, aimed at drop coil and tuned the charge till I could actually completely frost the coil with the hairdryer on full blast less than a foot away.........

I've got no strings to hold me down.
To make me fret, or make me frown.
I had strings but now I'm free.
There are no strings on me
