Thanks
But damn this thing needs water cooling.. I hit 90C after 1 hour of crunching, just way too hot.
So I backed it down to 3,8 for now - 10 3GB LinX 64 passes done at 1,12V
Next up - 1,10V...
Thanks

That's pretty hot for those voltages. I wonder if it's a problem under the IHS.
Edit: Well you also said it takes a lot of wattage. So I guess it must just be an odd chip.
Thread revival!
I don't know if I mentioned it, but the Mini-DFI had the annoying issue of refusing to turn on when screwed down to a mobo tray
It would work fine lying openly on a table, but not in a case. Probably some PCB issue.
Anyway, I finally RMAed it 2 months ago, and got a new board (which also works in a case )
So, my "Wall Node #1" is finally back up and running again. New 920 batch CPU, gotta see what it can do now..
Oh yeah, I also fixed the issue of getting crappy temps with the Scythe Zipang
Can you get back to 4.0 now the temp issue is sorted? and....is that Mb holding up ok cooling wise?.....I'm loving the "smallness" of the unit
My Biggest Fear Is When I die, My Wife Sells All My Stuff For What I Told Her I Paid For It.79 SB threads and 32 IB Threads across 4 rigs 111 threads Crunching!!
Well, 4Ghz with HT on 24/7 crunching is borderline criminal with a µATX air cooled rig. Looking forward to 32nm for that exact purpose.
Testing 3,8Ghz for now. Mobo is getting rather hot while running prime blend (60C NB, 85C VRM) but it's still ok. Besides, crunching isn't half as demanding as prime blend, at least as far as the mobo is concerned.
Nice Mod on the CPU Clean and Simple
I meant the CPU cooler-he had to do a slight mod on it
Here's a thread about clustering in ubuntu anyways:

Sooo... any plans to keep this thing up?
Plans - yes. Time and money - not really... Maybe over Christmas
Looks like I'll be playing with kerrighed 3.0 or something similar if I want to get this working.
That actually looks really interesting. I'll be reading up on that later.

Hi Juan!
Well, for one, it seems to be one of the only recent projects going in the direction I want. Most others I could find are 32bit only, based on really old kernels, and have been terminated and/or are not being further developed.
Plus this one relies on Ubuntu, which is about the only Linux distro I have ever managed to successfully install and run for a while
Great - I'll be looking to you for help on this, better count on it
See, that "gift" I sent ya.. wasn't a gift at all
