I wonder: when plugging in the 3 pin into the cpu 3 pin fan does the pump become voltage controllable? Or do we need to set the pump to be always 12v for 3 pin cpu?

its made to be controlled by processor etc (so bios settings can/will over-ride it although i'd only have mine on full constantly anyways

It have been said that it is not the same Asetek cooler but an improved one. I think it was around 20% improvement
I'm just worried about the alu+copper.

Why are you so worried about that? I don't think Corsair are idiots.

    +1
99.9% sure they wont go with just water setup and that they will have their own concoction of liquids to use in the kit

from the looks of the pic's on hexus you can (y) 120mm mounting holes on both sides, I reckon this + two s-flexes 1600 will be pretty snazzy for under £70

Agreed, those reviews are for the product that Corsair have re-modelled, so I would 'assume' that the new one will be better.

I'm all for this type of stuff...make water cooling kits easy and tons of people will buy them. Corsair is a great company, so I have faith that the H50 will pretty much be awesome.

There are alot of pre-build systems from tier 1 and 2 vendors already using this cooler. Corsair just decided to put it into retail.

i found some nice pics on techreport of the H50 in their new case...it's funny, it's pretty much the exact system I want to get next (not counting mobo and lack of sound card)

Hmm... Not sure but here is a hands on at computex.

    http://www.xcpus.com/reviews/163-Cor...09-Page-2.aspx

"The H50 is Corsairs high performance CPU cooler. It is a maintenance free water cooling setup similar to the Cool IT Domino. The difference is that Corsair seems to have created a solution able to cool an overclocked Core i7 processor enough to top the TRUE 120 at the same settings. We were witness to two identical systems, save for the CPU coolers. System 1 used a TRUE 120, system 2 had Corsairs H50. The H50 was able to cool the i7 975 by 15C more than the TRUE 120 with Prime95 running 8 threads. That is really impressive for this type of water cooling setup and to make it even sweeter, the retail price is going to be around $79 in the US. Look for our review once samples are available."

    Hopefully it is this good.

I see smaller heat-exchangers in the future going along with smaller NM,s .

This sounds like a dream...my lordy. If it's TRUE (ho ho ho), then expect the price to be jacked up after a while to reflect the performance? What you guys think?

79 bucks retail for that sort of performance seems unreal...

    85$

I wonder: is it possible to say get a small reservoir and install it into the loop? This way any water evaporation will not be a problem. Or is the system under pressure and will not function properly if you disconnect it?
