PRJ also check your IOH/ICH voltages too - 2 threads worth reading

    1. Prime95/LinX/Super Pi 32M stability tweaks
    2. DFI UT X58 - tRRD, RTL, tFAW timing discussion.

Windows memtest isn't really useful at all for cpu vtt/mem testing for me i can pass windows memtest at lower cpu vtt than 8x32m hyperpi or linx or single 32m pi require.

also since you're running GT mem try 7-8-7-20 instead.

Also on vista/win7 maybe need to disable audio device/driver for super pi for some folks

try running 8x 32m pi via hyperpi v0.99b if you can pass that at higher mem frequency than single super pi 32m, then you may have the issue Praz described. If not then more likely setting wise you haven't found the right settings/voltages.

Difficult to get passed 222 in wprime, regardles of volts tried

This is max I can boot from bios and run 1m.

Air cooled with TRUE and 1x120mm Pabts 38db, 23 degrees ambient.

Tried up to 1.6 vtt, with vmem up to 1.79v. No help, rather the opposite as it adds heat.

Using 6GB OCZ Platinum 1333, so I can only use 6 mp, think that is what lets me get away with "low" vtt.

Guys I was wondering why i7 920 is running so hot under a WC setup...
Temps hit 78~80C while priming @ 1.28v, VTT @1.37v set in BIOS, ambient nearly 30C. I'm using a AC cuplex XT di with 1366 mount powered by TC PA120.3 with 3 TT thunderblade 78CFM fan at full speeds...what should I do

try lowing IOH/ICH from 1.31v as it might not need that much try 1.19v to 1.23v for IOH/ICH

some i7 cpus have more leakage and thus run hotter. What are you tempts for stock i7 920 versus what you need for 3.8ghz and 4.0ghz prime95 ?

    1.225v approx for 4Ghz prime 95 and temps hit 70~72C under load, 1.28v @ 4.2Ghz hits 78~80C recorded in coretemp, assuming ambient @ 30C

ci2kla: I have almost the same water as you, i use 2xtrippel( 1xthermochill and 1xswiftech), 655-pump and Cuplex HD and have the same problem as you...but i will buy another top to my GTX and 1366 mounting.
I think i will get better temps then, becouse the AC-blocks is not the best one

Seems the results will be better if place this block to my LGA775 build

no, if you can afford it i will say Heatkiller...after what i know they are one of the best on I7.
I will post my temps when i get my custom GTX-top and 1366 mounting.
I saw one test of the AC blokcs against EK, Swiftech and so on...AC loose

Eva, any suggestions for Bclk>230Mhz ?
    Tried PCI-E up to 114Mhz (won't post at 115Mhz) and PCI-E at 1.7V, IOH (or ICH, I don't recall) at 1.26-1.32.
Haven't gone crazy with the VTT, maybe 1.58 at the max and all I could hit is 228Mhz which was very unstable.

    here you are, mate.
Its not "awful", but its not the best.
But i have heard someone said they think its good and other hates it.
My first waterblock was AC and that did the job then( some years ago)
But i think on I7 its not good enough becouse of the heat that I7 makes.
Its not the best test, but i stressed to find one so you didnt have to wait ages before i replied:P

    I can't pass hyperpi v0.99b

I tryed @ optimized default settings, just disabeling the things i dont use, setting HPET for 64 bit and the usual. NOT even here was superpi able to finish...!! Somthing must be wrong!

Audio Services need to be disabled if running Vista. First option in HyperPi.

    Hi Eva + everyone

First of all thanks for 2 fantastic threads regarding this board, there is so much good info in here that I almost do not want to look so I have my own adventures

    Just a little problem:

I think it is probably due to this board winning the "best OC" award in Taipei but all links to it have dissappeared from the DFI site... I hope that this is just due to writing updates etc but it does not help me much as I have one arriving tomorrow (at last! AT LAST!!! ) and I need to download the latest drivers / check out new bios releases (if any since last beta)...

Thank you for the bios link

Now what shall I do about drivers?

Any stores or mirrors anywhere or shall I use the download page for the LANPARTY DK X58-T3eH6 since that is still accessable?

Edit: Looks like the X58 JR is missing from the DFI site too.... has this been going on for a while

Edit #2: Actually it looks like a browser issue as I can see the T3H8 listed when I look with Safari but it is nowhere to be found when I look with IE8...

Edit #3: Direct link to DFI UT X58-T3eH8 downloads page here just in case anyone has difficulty seeing it like it did...
