Has anybody seen these 5514 wu's? They seem to be a real killer. This is with my 9800GX2 and shaders at 1873. These are even less ppd than the 511 point wu's.

Have you guys gotten the 5911's yet? 1888 Pts
I think about 5 hrs arent they. I am currently running all 5777's atm so cant tell. guess I could go back through logs...I will report back
they locked that one, and another sprouted in it's ashes http://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=52&t=10093
So the beef is about heat???
Nothing that a 80mm Tornado won't cure
note; I have just returned to FAH and am certainly not cognizant of the issues that you long termers see.
That said, some cards run hot, not over 70c to my observation. And the box that I have 3 cards[9600GSO] in the only warm card is the center one, about mid 60c. Top and bottom cards are 3-5c cooler.
But, what do I know, I'm relearning this stuff

the guy that's b1tching about the heat, or at least the one that started all the hooplah about the heat is on GX2's.. and those run hotter than hell in July anyway... I don't care what wu.. I got rid of my gx2 because of how hot it was.. my 200 series cards run about 60c on the core 14 wu's and about 70-75c on the core 11 wu's..
the rest of the posters are jumping on his coat tail just to b1tch about ppd, and that happens all the time anyway.. PG still benches all the wu's on a ATI 3850, which is stupid as hell. but we dont have any control over it. PG is like the dog that wont listen, no matter how many times you tell him to not chew on your shoes, if you leave them on the floor he's gonna revert to his stubborn behavior. I lost faith in PG's professional project management skillset a long time ago.. they are gonna keep on behaving the way they do and dont rreally care about what users think. in their mind, users are just the peon sheep they heard around the field and are not a priority resource.. the data is the priority resource in their mind, users can easily just be ignored if you dont read the complaints. been that way for the last 2 years I've been doing it anyway. I've learned to just not give a FK anymore.. if it bugs me too much and sometimes it does when they dont proactively respond to some of the user complaints, I just go idle for a day or so. right now I have all my cpu's on wcg and the gtx260 on gpugrid. if more people would shift their efforts to different projects and voice their opinion why, then it might eventually change PG's mindset.. but as long as they have willing sheep, they just dont care.

I'm setup on the Gpu's and I'll let them work and not pay any attention to the drama.....I'm old, tired and broke[7month unemployment and counting] so I'll use my resources the way I want and ignore the crap.

yeah, that's pretty much what I do now too.. I used to let it get me worked up and join the fight, but it's not worth it.. it always goes nowhere until the next uprising, and then it's the same old broken record... I still read and comment on FF from time to time, but I dont get all sucked into the drama anymore. it's a waste of time and mental energy.
Thanks for the good read Mike! Did 7im get his "Mod" title pulled? He looks like a normal user now. One thing for sure the user base is much more vociferous and hostile in voicing complaints. The complainers seem to out number the brainwashed sheep now. It used to be any slight criticism of the project was met with 15 "It's all about the science." posts. It is what it is. I quit getting riled up after Bruce told RR if he was unhappy with the SMPs he could leave. RR was running in the top 20 project wide at the time. It's still fun to throw darts back at them on occasion.

Oh my, 7im really threw his toys out of the pram this time didn't he!! Maybe he has the freedom to let his opinions loose now that he is no longer a mod??? Was he forced or did he walk?
I had thought that with Ihaque there was a new ethos of caring for us guys that work charitably on their behalf but it all just goes back to the same ol' same ol'
I must admit that his comments do tempt me to post a reply ....(incidentally...origin...'re·ply:- Middle English replien to fold back, oppose, respond, from Anglo-French replier, from Latin replicare to fold back) Be he a long time member of the folding community or not his condecending attitude to anyone who fails to see things his way is just a carbuncle on the whole raison d'etre of Pande.
Things have been a bit toasty though ...even with the big fan I've had my gx2's into the 70's recently.

I don't get into anything much there. Learned a long time ago it is pointless. But I do go there sometimes to report a bug on a new client or whatever. Speaking of which I need to read again how to swap some DLLs around again for the ATI client...

Just curious, any reason you guys have not gone to GPUGRID?
im thinking about it 3 gpus f@h 3 gpus for the gpugrid and all cpus crunching for wcg i think that could be a little fun. as far as f@h forums go i stay away from it to many pinheads in there for me. drama solves nothing.
