    Bloodrage new G25 bios

well the wait is over here it is

    http://www.yourfilehost.com/media.ph...e=8A1F1G25.zip

ok the list is a bit like this

Added BIOS setup control item "PCI Express Bus Clock".
Added BIOS setup control item "CPU QPI Latency".
Added BIOS setup control item "IOH QPI Latency".
Added BIOS setup control item "CPU QPI Drive Strength".
Added BIOS setup control item "IOH QPI Drive Strength".

    Added "Current Timings" item.
    Added "CPU Hardware Prefetcher" item.

Modify "DRAM Voltage" default from 1.85V to 1.70V for "Memory Profile Select"
    Auto and "Virtual XMP" Enabled.
Modify "CPU VTT (UnCore) Voltage" default from added 5 step to 9 step for
"Memory Profile Select" Auto and "Virtual XMP" Enabled.
Modify for BIOS item "QPI Target Speed" show wrong speed.
Modify BIOS POST CPU speed string from 3.06GHz to 3.07GHz for 950 CPU.
VID defaults for some older CPU how sorted

am the not working list is like this

PCI-E clock(still been worked on ) so you can get to 102.4 but helps a little on bclk
Cas Latency 1 lower then it should be
CPU and IOH QPI Latency options - if you scroll up from auto to 256, it doesn't let you scroll back down to 0

so have fun and don't shout at me about stuff not working that i've said
we are working on fixing the bios but it does take time and shouting will not speed it up

    thanks

Thanks Carl, it's great to see things moving in the right direction. This is a good step forward and the best BIOS for the Bloodrage yet.

More notes for anyone else reading:
    - CAS latency is only reported 1 step lower in the bios i.e it'll say CL6 but its actually CL7. In CPU-Z it shows correctly and performance agrees with CPU-Z.
    - PCI-E frequency can boot 100-103 inclusive, and setfsb can change it up to 103.4.
    - XMP profile works great.
    - 2-3 bclk boost (for me, ymmv )

    you are the man Carl
I am going to check it out, hopefully I can score some bClk.
I managed to get up to 112Mhz on the PCI-E clok easily on the P6T Deluxe, so I will have a good reference if it is the board in case I will stuck on a lower freq.

Great news about the additional BIOS features.
Anyone tested if G25 is as fast as G22? For 32M G25 should be the fastet because of the Prefetch feature, right?

Ok I loaded the BIOS, gained a few bClks.
The PCI-E does clock untill 102.4 and thats it, if it would have gone up to 110-115 we would have even nicer results

Anyway, the Bloodrage is on the right way, keep it up

    Some OC results FTW:

And my currently SuperPi 32M record (that is seriously a fast board):

This is awesome! I was already getting 220 x 20 on my new D0 at just 1.36v vcore. I will have to see what this BIOS will do for me. Glad to see that Foxconn hasn't forgotten about us.

Well, I hope you knew I was joking. I don't expect to get one of these, but i wouldn't be suprised if you did as you seem to be on the inside. But seriously, I hope you didn't think I was mad or upset, as I wasn't. Just wish they would follow through with the VFD.

Your BIOS Engineer needs to change the value of a MSR and then memset/CPU Tweaker will work just fine.
Yes, it is on your side.

here's what the author of memset said about it.

They are two bits which lock the Memory Configuration Space access in Core i7:
    One is named MEM_CFG_USER_LOCKED (Bus:255, Dev:0, Fct 0, OffSet:88 bit[1])
    and the other MEM_CFG_LOCKED (Bus:255, Dev:0, Fct 0, OffSet:88 bit[0]).
Both are Read Only bits, but MEM_CFG_USER_LOCKED bit can be unlocked under Win
    by setting at 1 the bit: Bus:255, Dev:0, Fct 0, OffSet:88 bit[1].

-On eVGA MBoards, both are unlocked.
-On GigaByte MBoards, only MEM_CFG_USER_LOCKED bit is locked, so simply writing
    in Bus:255, Dev:0, Fct 0, OffSet:88 bit[1] and it's OK.
-On AsusTek MBoards, MEM_CFG_LOCKED bit is locked: I can't do nothing.
-On others MBoards, both are locked and I can't do nothing too.

    So, two solutions:
-First, MBoards bios engineers can simply unlock MEM_CFG_LOCKED and a bios update will fix the problem.
-Second, a bios mod, but we don't know how to unlock MEM_CFG_LOCKED for now; perhaps at next.

hope that you can help us use memset to modify timings in windows

    thanks!
