Patch think the reason for your problem was the VID table were wrong for your cpu and in the old bios its was over voltage your cpu
now you have the new vid table it does not do that now
so you have to increase the voltage to have the same as the old bios.

    hope that helps a little

    thanks

    welcome to XS patch

try what carl suggested, otherwise, have you tried to enable the current feedback override in cpu features?
might get you higher... but yes, in general you need notably more volts to get c0 chips up... there are some good c0 batches that clock about the same as d0, but even the worst d0 seems to be close to those good c0s, so yes, its def worth going for c0s
oh another thing you can try, disable HT and see if you can get any higher... HT creates quite some extra heat, and c0 chips are way cooling limited, d0 as well, but not as much.

whether its worth upgrading from c0 to d0 is another question... if you can find somebody who will take your c0 for a good price, why not...

DaRoN, good to hear your getting further now

    G25 bliss- Reapers now WORK!!!!!!!

    WOW,

first try, 1866Mhz with my Reapers- @1.65v (actually 1890mhz according to CPUZ)

    FINALLY.

Thank you for the updated bios.

I am, however, having troubles oc'ing to my previos level, but I have not played with this bios much.

I do have a request, if requests are ok to post, I would like odd number memory dividers, after all what good is an uncore of 26? Also, how do I lock the FSB to 20? I keep getting a 21 multi with this bios.

Thank you very much for a very nice product, I hope this support continues, as I despise Asus, for one reason- NO tech support. Foxconn would do well to continue products like this one, after all I bought one, and I am very frugal with my cash.

    Money well spent.

One other thing I just noticed- vcore is considerable lower (default) with this bios over the previos versions, now correct- I believe, so I am hoping that if I raise vcore my previos OC will be regained.

They believe that it helps reaching higher BCLK.. its quite certain that it helps to get like 5 MHz more..

Nice r1ch. Looking forward to playing with the bios.

Anyone know the DOS cmd line for the bios update? I.E. awdflash "file".bin /...........

Also, is there liveupdate software for Windows 7? Aegis panel? CD will not let me install anything since it does not recognize Windows 7.

Clarification on this. Do you mean the following:

Added BIOS setup control item "CPU QPI Latency". ---->set this to 100
Added BIOS setup control item "IOH QPI Latency". ----> set this to 100
Added BIOS setup control item "CPU QPI Drive Strength". ----> set this to 10-25

Anyone break 230 yet? Bumping the PCI-E to 102 made me stable up to 224 and not a step further. I'll play with these drive strengths and latencies next.

    --Matt

Edit: no improvement in max bclk with the latency and drive strength mods. 224 might be a bit more stable with them though. http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=577613

Other than Benchzowner, I think 229BCLK is the highest. I am planning on installing the new bios this week and play with it on my days off.

Benching a 975 tonight, but when I put the 920 back in I'll grab the settings for you.

To be fair, it's the PCI-E frequency to 103.4Mhz that opens up the clocks past 220bclk. Here's hoping for a fuller PCI-E frequency range in the next BIOS

What is possible PCI-E range set up? 100 - 103? I would like to see something like 50-150. Tough.. not sure whats operating range of PCI-E.

I can't get mine stable past 103mhz. With spread spectrum off I can only reach 102mhz. 103 seems to be good for 227 though. I can't get anything at 228.
