Greetings!

After introducing you guys to our new Corsair Dominator 2000C7GT last December, and then bringing entire line of Dominator GT DDR3 memory in February, Corsair Lab finally had some time to try to really push some boundaries, where no other RAM has gone before

Today I'd like to show you the results I'm really proud of - Corsair Dominator 2000GT, unmatched, shattering DDR3-2500 CL7 barrier in triple-channel configuration!!!

Intel Core i7 975, 3.33GHz, D0 stepping

Please note that in those experiments I will be exceeding 1.65V VDIMM voltage level. Be aware that hardware may be damaged or it's life dramatically shortened should you try anything similar you see me do here at home Results seen here are not common, and obviously cannot be approached let alone matched by any other RAM, but Corsair Dominator GT

I need to admit that 8 x HPi32M at this DDR3 frequency is a royal PITA!!! It's was very close few times, but I could comfortably achieve QUAD HPi32M instead...

I love those sticks. I've been trying to push the limit of the regular Dominators without going over 1.65v. Been doing ok.

BTW, what dimm voltage did you use to achieve 2533 mhz?

Well, if anything shows how important the IMC is for memory/uncore clocking. I think it's almost impossible to hit even 2K CL6 with a 920 D0 or even with my W3540. I will have to find out myself this weekend when I put my W3540 on the classifed with the 2k CL7 doms.

EDIT: These results just shows how good the 975 is gonna be and pair it with a higher binned elpidas like the 2K dom GTs and sky is your limit, when you go sub-zero cooling.

I've seen 12GB of the 2000 CL8 ones hitting 1000MHz 7-8-7-20 (not fully stable) with a regular 965, no golden cpu or sth I've seen 6GB of the previous ones hitting 1080MHz+ CL7 fairly easy. Both CL7 and CL8 kits of Dominator GTs are excellent products It's just that ... well, 2000 CL7 are better

yup, already saw some of the benchmarks because some of these results were posted in the news section as WR ddr3.

i'm assuming that these are only cherry picked from the top of the top? not even half the retail kits can get near this, or is it a new GT model/binning?

Corsair will never accept the warranty on this with the voltage those chips were suffering, benchus you are in trouble
I bet we are talking 2.0v+ here, and they probably needed to peel of the sticks from the motherboard at the end of this session.
