no way to slip out if you apply the proper mounting pressure betwen cpu and mobo.

They are good, but couldn't they be better?

Like using higher voltage? But that would add considerable cost...

I'm starting to think there is no hope for sub-zero tec temps the way I run my quad. (1.5v 4300mhz) Right now I rather like -30/-20 idle/load

i think the next frontier for TECs in computers is the combination of TEC and the Heatpipes

Heatpipes have a low maximum rate of 'transferd' heat. Which make them less interesting for a peltier

heatpipes may transfer small volume .. but it transfers the heat in the speed of the sound ... based on some articles i read on heatpipes ...

that's how some aircooling are slowly gaining on the watercooling .. of coz in TEC section, it has been quite dormant for sometime ... i'm hoping if there's any changes to it in future .... TEC is not going to fade away definitely

Depends on the heatpipes....bog standard heatpipes like those in PC chillers etc are carp as far as heatpipes go...they are the low of low. Proper heatpipes specially manufactured/filled far exceed the wattages your talking about and can work at both extremely low and extremely high temperatures dependant on their "gassing".
That said you are highly unlikely to ever get your hands on any.
