the WHO estimated 655000 people die each year of malaria but a new new study shows that the figure is closer to 1,2 million. while the scientific opinion was that humans can develop an immunity to malaria, this proved to be false. about one third of the people who succumb to malaria are adolscents and adults.

damn.. malaria is one of the scariest diseases to me. There's just something about not being able to defend yourself from a little flying critter that gives me the heebie jeebies.
